You have me worried now, are you saying the Mustang interior quality is worse than a Jag XF ? I had a new XFR in 2010 the interior was nice to look at but the quality was very poor, a bit glitzy / more wow than Germanic.

It's a brand new 5.0 V8 from a major manufacturer for £35K; I think you should maybe lower your expectations a little, although from everything I've seen on the net (albeit not in the flesh), it looks perfectly acceptable (for a brand new £35K 5.0 V8).

I'm not buying mine for the interior so as long it's not falling apart I don't really care too much. smile

Need a photoshop guy.
Although my PS skills are awesome, they're not awesome in the "adding stripes to cars" field, so these will have to do...

I only had a brief sit in it to be honest, I didn't inspect things too closely. I have a c63, and the quality of the leather, stitching etc wasn't as good in the mustang, but it was still perfectly fine, more than fine, and the mustang costs a lot less, a real bargain . I never had an issue with the xfr material quality, only its iffy build quality.
It didn't feel like stepping into a high end Audi , but it did have charm that few German cars have, everything felt solid enough, and I will be more than happy with it.
Fact is, I was surprised just how good it looked in the flesh. If anyone plans to park it in their garage I'd measure the width if I were you, it may be tight. Mine will be on a drive so it will be fine.
Oh, and it was a left hand drive car, yellow, and it looked fantastic.

My expectations are Mondeo high, no higher, my XFR wasn't that good.

Really?! I had an X-Type Sport in Piano black with leather & was perfectly happy with that, so as long it's up to that standard I'll be happy.

You have now worried me. tongue out

I also got to take a look at the yellow GT which was at John Grose Ipswich this weekend.

Overall looks just stunning, agree with what spudgun says about the yellow - I'm tempted with it!

This one is obviously doing the rounds and as a result is starting to look a bit tired in places - hardly surprising given that it has probably had 1000's of people crawling all over it inside and out at numerous locations throughout Europe!

Regarding interior quality - hard to sum up from such a brief look - it's got to be said it's all about the styling but otherwise typical Ford really, certain areas possibly not quite as good as we are used to seeing with the latest UK Focus or Mondeo offerings to be honest. For those whose top priority in a car is the interior quality - sorry but I think you may be disappointed.

View out over the bonnet is superb! Although you cannot see that far forward - front parking sensors would be an advantage for UK parking!

I've just picked up a 64 plate Mondeo Titanium X - if my Mustang finish is as good I'll be happy.

I've now been told that 'Ford Options' will be available for financing and a further price increase is a possibility before the end of the year.

My first substantive call from my dealer today. Car reserved on 24 Jan 2015 is now showing on the Ford systems so they will now contract with Ford with my confirmed spec. They will now get regular info and updates which they will share with me.

Price is fixed at the one in place when I reserved - not the increased price - no suggestion otherwise.

I probably would hold out on the Mustang + upgrades and buy the 350, if they did bring it here - just a personal view, mind. I can't see how Ford would honour any warranty on a 550/600bhp Muzzie V8GT and that could cost some if it went wrong. The warranty would hold on a 350.

But agreed, that's a more pragmatic (boring) view.

However, that said, you are right - I don't think it is in the plans to bring one over officially.
Afternoon All,

Greetings from the wilds of Shropshire! ..... Wow! They make you wait to post stuff once you've signed up! Anyway, been reading this thread with interest over the last few months. Lots of interesting information, so thank you to everyone for that. Hoping to put an order in soon for a V8 but fully expecting a long wait!

That said, i'm hoping for the GT350 too - so i'll delay ordering until i hear for definite that they will/won't be coming to the UK. I know there are lots of aftermarket parts for making your Mustang go faster but as has been said, i really prefer the noise of a flat-plane V8 and the styling just looks so cool - so opting for the 350 isn't pragmatic or boring to me! smile. It'll be a real shame if we don't get it in the UK.

I'm fairly sure I read somewhere on here already that they've confirmed it's definitely not coming to the UK.

All this talk about the interior makes me die a little inside every time I read it. FFS if that's your priority this is the wrong car for you.

I've spent my entire career designing car interiors for a living and now do them for a very exclusive supercar manufacturer but I couldn't care less. This thing is worth £35k for the powertrain alone.

Well I thought the car that was doing the rounds at the moment was a pre-production car from the 2014 Paris motor show? If that's the case then the interior is not something I'd be worrying about. Either way, for £35k I'm not expecting to be surrounded by 100 dead cows smile I'm going up to see it in Liverpool on Wednesday, so I'll get some photos ..... REALLY looking forward to finally seeing one! woohoo
