The saddle interior goes really well with the magnetic.

Have a look for the video of the Italian owners club launch.

What's that then Fidd? Whatever it is, I'm jealous biggrin
It's just the form that I was given at the Ford dealer / FordStore to complete and take back in with deposit. I guessed everyone else had done one?
Yep my dealer completed the form in front of me so standard I'd say. They've also agreed to let me know when the U.S. conformation email comes through.

Do you have a link to the video, had a quick search on Google but couldn't find anything. I will be ordering either Magnetic or Guards with the Saddle interior. Just have to time it right as my current lease ends in September 2016 and I don't have the space or money for two cars.

Me to, as I would like to see what saddle looks like. I've had a search but had no luck.

BTW I just specced up the same Mustang that I have ordered on the US site and it comes out at $39,620 nett.

I presume sales tax is added to that. If it's 10% (I have no idea) then on an exchange rate of $1.5 to £1 the car is not much less then the UK OTR price. Well about a £3k saving.

Thought it would be far cheaper than that. OK I was bored biggrin

One of my mates tried to buy one last week but was told unless you've already paid deposit (which I did last year) then anyone ordering now wouldn't receive a car until late 2016! He hasn't bothered.

I hadn't really looked at the blue colour - it really is beautiful and reminds me of my old RS2000 but I think I'm sticking with the Absolute Black and washing it every day!

BTW its on the insurance sites now, I ran a test quote - £250/year, benefit of being nearly 40!

£250!! Where do you live?

I tried to insure a 2011 Mustang last year. London, parked on street, working in TV, business use was against me, 50s, no claims/convictions and full NCB was for me.

£1350 from the only company that would quote. TPFT and it had to be a second car, 3000 miles/year max.

Planning on moving out of London before the car arrives, and that'll help to hide it from the ex wife biggrin

Wales biggrin

My volvo costs more (350)! My Cayman can be insured for £211! 14 years NCB on both cars and so far clean license. Famous last words...

Who told him that? A dealer?

If he really wants one he needs to try another dealer
I placed my order on Monday..... And the dealer was confident I'd get my car well before Xmas.....

I was told by the dealer today that it'd be 12-18 months with the currently ordered cars being built in around 8 months to be in buyer's hands in around 12 months.

Was so tempted to put a deposit down but waiting for finance information first, so might be June/July for me frown.

I spoke to my dealer today about changing options. He said that they won't be sending customer's orders to Ford US until around May, so I have a while to make my mind up.

Yes, same one that took my deposit before Christmas. I'm guessing they are protecting the people who paid early on, or it could be just sales talk. No idea. I do know my mate regularly buys brand new fords and knows the dealer very well whereas I just pretty much walked in off the street - odd!

At my age, I should be going for that colour so that's why I will go for the cream/black biggrin

In the US there is some sort of red option.

The UK launch pricing looks really, really sharp.

It seems a bit tricky at the moment to decipher properly what exact spec the UK cars will be. Basically it looks like in the U.S. you need to go up to the GT Premium to get the leather which we will get as standard, plus we are also supposed to be getting the GT performance package as standard. Don't know about new car taxes in the U.S but as you say croyde that spec comes out approaching $40,000 which currently exchanges to somewhere over £26,000. If you take off the 20% Vat from the UK list price of £32,995 for a 5.0 GT it comes to roughly £27,495. Not sure if I'm missing something but it seems amazing that Ford can get it officially to the UK market in right hand drive at the prices that they have announced.

I think that it is fantastic - the only disappointment is not getting the Recaro seat option. I have back problems, and I can't drive any distance without proper supportive seats. This always means the sports seats, rather than the more standard benches. On the Jag XF or XK for example the standard seats are useless for me. Just a ticket to an osteopath.

I just ran it on comparethemarket, cheapest I think was Churchill at £250, my current insurer admiral wanted £520 which is a shame as I've been with them for many years.

Excess was high though, £850 (500 voluntary IIRC).
