Just placed my order! Won't get it for around a year though frown
Black, black interior, black wheels, auto, no custom pack , hate the exterior chrome trim, but going for climate seats, reverse sensors and shaker.

Well I thought the car that was doing the rounds at the moment was a pre-production car from the 2014 Paris motor show? If that's the case then the interior is not something I'd be worrying about. Either way, for £35k I'm not expecting to be surrounded by 100 dead cows smile I'm going up to see it in Liverpool on Wednesday, so I'll get some photos ..... REALLY looking forward to finally seeing one! woohoo
Bootle or Speke ? When I wanted to order people's were useless hence I went to TRUST
Bootle. The experience at Peoples has been pretty similar to a lot of other folks on here to be honest .... i.e. I've heard absolutely nothing, except when I've made contact with them! - which is why I was totally surprised when the postman delivered the 'VIP' (Oooo-ooooh! how lah-di-dah!) invitation to the thing on Wednesday smile. To be fair though, dealers probably have nothing concrete to say as Ford seem to have put any information on the car (spec, options ...... GT350 biggrin, had to say it!) on complete lock-down and secured the key in Fort Knox - wouldn't want any customers finding stuff out, after all! smile

Great taste, same spec as me except I've gone for Saddle seats and manual gearbox. (should be here November)

I'm fairly sure I read somewhere on here already that they've confirmed it's definitely not coming to the UK.
Not as such...

'From' 60k though and even then, not sure if it's actually a GT350 or just a GT with Shelby upgrades?

I read it as it's a GT with (genuine) Shelby upgrades

No matter, that's still a lot of BHP per £

May go and stick a further grand down on a fastback just for this smile

To be fair, I can't remember Ford confirming anything to do with this car (the Mustang in general, I mean) ..... options, spec's, anything. To be honest, if they don't officially sell the GT350 here then I think I'll import one and put up with LHD - something I swore I'd never do, but that's how much I really fancy an 'R' spec.

I think the Sandicliffe page is referring to the 'upgrade' Shelby (i.e modified standard GT), even though the picture is of a GT350! But again, is this an 'official' Ford option for the rest of the world that can't get the GT350? If so, it's something else they haven't officially confirmed. Ford have really been pretty poor in their handling of the whole Mustang launch - after all, they didn't make the decision to sell it in the UK last week ..... they must have had years to get organised.

Sooner I hear about official supercharger kits being sold via ford dealerships here in the UK, the happier I'll be. That's what I really want, a supercharged mustang, I love torque, and I want a beast.
I saw the clip of the 350R on YouTube, the noise is unbelievable, one of the best sounding cars ever, and I own a c63, which is no shrinking violet when it comes to noise.

Correct. It's a Shelby GT, not a GT350. So it's based on the Coyote engine and not the 5.2 flat plane crank engine.

Just noticed this bit as well in that link.

you will have to part with an extra £26,500, not to mention postage costs too

So, £26,500 on top of the cost of the car plus you're responsible for shipping costs. Who's doing the paperwork at either end and arranging the shipping in both directions?

And wave goodbye to the car for three or four months.

Exactly. It's for diehard Shelby/Mustang fans only, that one.

£8K should see you with a supercharger, fitted over here, giving +600BHP, so the only reason for going for that one is to say it's a Shelby Mustang.

As I said, I'm sure I've seen somewhere that Ford confirmed the 350 is NOT coming to the UK. I'm gonna have to go find it now to shush the naysayers and crush those dreams! wink

I should be possible to buy a UK spec RHD car in the states (we used to buy RHD cars in Europe) then have the conversion done and only one lot of shipping. SVA would be a doddle and you might get away with import VED! Sounds like a business opportunity.

Not sure we have anyone TBH.

The guys you mentioned develop their own products (superchargers/bodykits etc) whereas over here I'm not sure we have anyone that is anything more than a reseller/fitter.

I think djone101 (IIRC) works for a Mustang specialist so he's probably the best guy to ask.

There are a couple of Mustang specialists (Yellastang / Modurstang on here for one) but no-one like Saleen/Shelby/Roush etc.

To be honest, they're so easy to work on anyone half competent with a spanner can do it. I carried out all the mods to my S197 - have a look smile

You'll struggle to get someone to sell you a LHD one for export so you'll have no chance of getting a RHD one.

It would be a bit stupid if you couldn't get your UK ordered RHD car picked up at the Ford USA factory and taken to Shelby for upgrades before being shipped over to the UK dealers for UK PDI and registration. You'd need to speak to someone with half a brain in Ford USA to make it happen, but I suspect it could be done.
