Wow. Just picked up on this thread as I don't visit Pistonheads as often as I should. I obviously need to get back in more.!
Seems that you guys have not heard of me yet.
Mike from Modurstang here.

AS already mentioned don't want to break the rules of advertising. Just letting you know there are places out here.

Thanks. Mike

How long is the Ford warranty anyway?

I plan on mine being a long termer so happy to wait before I modify. Something that I can tinker with into my old age biggrin

I would expect it to be 3 years or 36,000 miles which ever comes first.

Ours will be out of the window as soon as we've fitted that Whipple supercharger of course....

I'm going to try and wait at least two years before installing a S/C to get some benefit out of the warranty, but don't know if I'll be successful...

Or just get a Procharger and accept the need for a lot of spannering priot to any time it goes into the dealership! biggrin

Does anyone know if fitting official Ford Performance parts will void the warranty? .... would it depend on whether they are 'official' parts available in the UK (rather than from the US)? Guess we've got at least 10 months to find out! smile

I'm guessing it'll be done under the Mountune brand, as with previous UK fast Fords.

Just found this on 'Mustang6G'. Admittedly this is for the US, but it clearly states that even Ford Performance parts could invalidate the warranty if they cause a failure. Maybe i prefer the sound of the standard factory exhaust after all weeping

As far as I know, Mountune do not do Mustangs any more.
Modurstang is the leading UK Mustang modification business now, and very well respected at that.
Look at the web site.

The 2011 GT's original exhaust was too quiet so I guess that will be the first mod to the S550. Similarly the tyres will need to be changed, the US sourced Pirelli P Zero Nero's were total pants on mine.

I know you're great for the S197 and earlier - does this mean you're also going to be getting into the S550 as well? If so that's going to be great news for potential new owners!

I've been through almost all the aftermarket exhaust clips on YouTube including Magnaflow, Roush, ARH etc and that one is by far and away the best one.

But you lot have to get something else 'cos I heard it first! tongue out
Do you know if you can just bolt this onto a UK spec car? I'm tempted to preorder one of these before the car arrives so I can get in straight on. Prices doesn't seem too bad:-

I saw a black 2015 track pack at a cruise last night. I like how from factory they do not need lowering springs.

This is why I did not buy a Camaro.

Regarding the roush hood vents on the s550, I saw them on a roush on the weekend and they look pretty cheap, $190 is a lot for these. The vents on the s197 13-14 are much better quality.

Those are AT LEAST 22"s if not more. 20"s look acceptable.

Nah - keep going - they're waaaay bigger than that. It passed me on I-4 the other night, with the stereo blasting out, "Kill cops and rape white bhes" or some such - could have been a large cloud of ganja-smake billowing behind - you get the picture, I'm sure.

I hate that look on cars. Really big and covered in chrome. Yuk! Ruins them.

A lot of the US guys on the Crown Vic forum were always proud of their giant wheels. Tended to be the Gangsta wannabees or indeed bees biggrin
