Just a question, what is the legality of the Roush and MagnaFlow exhausts, that sound great, in the UK? Do you have to refit the old system to pass the MOT, obviously difficult if you have had to cut it.
As long as the original catalysts are still there you should have no issue with MOT despite the systems being louder.

I also watched the one hour clip of the Super Charger install. Felt ok until they had to cut chunks out of the Coyote engine casing, as specified by Roush, to comply with the fitting of extra hardware. yikes
Another reason we will be supplying and fitting the Whipple supercharger kit rather than the Roush one.

I like the recaros in my mustang but I would not pay 2K to retro fit them.

American muscle sell nice corbeau buckets for a fraction of the price.

Whilst I would probably be ok with proper buckets initially, I think after a couple of hundred miles in them I would've had enough. My car will be doing 3K mile euro roadtrips at least once a year, and I know my missus definitely won't appreciate proper bucket seats, so it will need to be something along the lines of those Recaros, and looking at prices of those kinds of seats, they're all around that kind of figure. frown

Plus I'm a total sucker for that Ford Racing logo! That's actually what tipped the balance. biggrin

Didn't take long - EDP stage 1 - adds around 220hp - stock internals, trans and rear end. Forged oil pump drive is always a good idea when hopping-up a Coyote.
matt the engines is still the Coyote unit so people are already pushing 1200rwhp (US HP) out of built versions of these engines. The only changes will be packaging (not changed that much) and maybe drivetrain.

its interesting the see that whipple are pushing the 2.9ltr front feed unit rather than the traditional rear feed units.

I'm not really sure what point you are trying to make here. If it is that the OEM oil pump drive is adequate for a motor that is generating 1200 whp then you are on crack.

I did notice that but the pic is definitely the same and there's only $300 difference, so......? scratchchin

ETA: found them on a couple of other sites that describe them as leather as well, for a similar price, so it looks to be around £2K for leather Recaros with the logo. Shipping is probably around the same again! weeping

speak to a chap called Ron Fenton (he's on the UK Mustang sites) - he does an import service which will almost certainly be a LOT cheaper

I'd stay away from the roush exhaust the "stainless steel" will rust after 6 months and roush will not replace it.

Matt I was more talking about what tuners have done to the Coyote already. Its just now in a slightly car. smile

Anyone thinking of getting a custom exhaust in UK? They do seem a LOT cheaper than Magnaflow etc.

Tried custom exhausts before and not had great results, too much drone and quality issues. I'm going to import a Borla one...

Where did you order it from?

Why the touring? I think I'm going for the sport

Aren't you getting a convertible Folie? Might be worth going for something a tad quieter than the Sport if so.

Yes I do, so this is a consideration especially with 2 young kids in the back.

I have been through the Youtube clips and the Touring sounds nice, but doesn't quite have the effect I'm looking for at idle - that deep burble on start up which the Sport seems to have (as much as you can tell from a video clip)

The next one up (Racing?) is too loud.

Previous cars include a Vantage V8 with Fuse 22 removed (disables the exhaust butterfly valve) and a Tuscan S with Carbon Cans, so soundtrack is important to me.

I guess none of us will know for sure until we have our cars and pipes.

Yeah.... I had a Vantage with fuse 22 removed and I also gutted the back boxhehe but it wasn't that loud really..

http://youtu.be/Q3h_DHSXUHs

The TVR's on the other hand, although great for blasting around turned a bit wearing on long journeys..

My plan for the Mustang, is some Euro trips and use as much as possible, so having had loud in the past, this time I'd rather something a little more subtlesmile
