If that was a UK dealer you weren't looking at a V6.

Plenty of springs and suspension options available.

with the whipple charger do you have to mod the block, I watched a roush charger install and you have to cut away a mounting point!!!

Nope the Whipple is a direct bolt-on that requires no cutting, so you can remove it and return to stock easily should you need to.

I'm not sure about the 'easily' bit! SteveP may want to comment following his install wink

Is the Whipple really any better than the tried and tested TVS? Either should be able to get to into the silly power range. Both use a similar intercooler (that is limited by water flow rather than size).

What base manifold do the bigger Whipple kits (4.0 ltr and bigger) use?

Not sure the Whipple wouldn't be considered tried and tested either. Lots of happy Mustang customers on 6g.com with them. Capable of silly outputs too.

Pretty sure there was a poll and the Whipple came out top over Roush and the others that were mentioned.

There is only one size of supercharger offered as a kit from Whipple at present - a 2.9l unit. (we've fitted a number of the 4.0l units to Ford GTs but that's quite different)
The Whipple comes with it's own manifold - you can see it attached to the charger housing in the picture below - this mounts directly in place of the plastic Ford intake manifold.

The big advantage the Whipple has over the TVS is that the intake is at the front making the air path much simpler (and I would therefore believe more efficient). It's also a less intrusive kit to install as has been mentioned earlier.

Is the said lower manifold the same as used on the Coyote engine? if so then there should be the option for the larger superchargers to be fitted.

The whole front red vs rear fed is a massive debate. VMP sware by the rear feed as do KB. But then they only sell rear feeds. I know VMP has done a hell of a lot of work (ford used the version 1 of the VMP design for the 2300) on getting the airflow into the rear fed 2300s and the bigger whipple and KB setups don't seem to be held back at all!
