I have heard a rumor there is something else coming from SVT in and around August time frame.

Might be the already mention Shelby kit, given the scarcity of the GT350-r, or might be a new 500 (really not sure as i heard gt500 was 2017/8)

I think you're right, it's probably just confirmation of the Shelby upgrade option for the standard GT. Not my cup of tea really. At the moment Ford can sell all the 350's they can make State-side, but maybe once the peak initial demand has died down there might be a chance of it making an appearance outside North America - back end of next year maybe? I'll be gutted if the GT350 doesn't officially make it to Blighty at some point in the future weeping

Have you guys seen this? Oh, the noise and RWD snaking action. I'm in love.

The old Stig driving it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

If they do bring a RHD one over, I'm in, even if I have 2 Mustangs in the stable!

Yes, car is ordered in the States. I am out here with work for a few years. Hope to bring it back with me in 2017. No worries with being a negative Nancy! I have hardly told anyone here yet until and won't count my chickens until I drive the car off the lot. I have paid a deposit and have a receipt and an order receipt from the dealer. However, I don't have a formal DORA yet and no further details have emerged in a good three weeks. It's a small dealership so will be a fairly late made car, I imagine. I am keeping my fingers crossed though. Haven't had a decent car since I sold my TVR ten years ago!

Pleased for you strat. Watch out for the dealer trying to hike the price though if someone else offers him over list for it.

A friend of mine is looking to order one but is struggling to get a dealer to take him seriously.

Thanks Roo. I have heard of guys having 'their' cars sold out from underneath them and it is certainly a concern. I must say that my dealer seems legit and so I remain hopeful. If the worst comes to the worst and they sell the car to someone else for more money I will be forced to buy a second hand GT500 instead. It wouldn't be the end of the world!

Excellent! Very envious! smile

On the positive side here in the UK, (and as you probably know) the GT350R was at the Goodwood FoS at the weekend - which certainly raised my hopes of it officially coming to the UK. I also discovered yesterday that Ford have been running some kind of BS Twitter PR campaign (#MustangInLondon, if you're interested) where they were claiming to have 'lost' the 350 from Goodwood somewhere in London and you had to find it (it's near TCR tube station apparently). However, this is getting me more excited that there is just a slight possibility that just maybe I will be able to get my hands on a UK 350R woohoo

I had indeed seen that the R had been at Goodwood. Who knows - maybe they will bring out a UK 350 in RHD. If they do then I may have to think twice about bringing a LHD one over with me. I imagine it would be pretty costly for a RHD 350 though.

I am sure you are all aware of the ongoing clamour to get hold of one over here. I have been pretty lucky so far. I 'only' had to contact about 20 dealers to find one at MSRP and the place in question is just 100 miles away, albeit in another state. I have heard of people contacting 70+ Ford dealers and finding nothing better than $7k over sticker price. Someone said a garage in California wanted $100k over! My local dealer wants $20k over.

Like I said, I know there's a chance I could get gazumped but the dealer seems like a nice, small-town business that is very friendly and approachable. Fingers crossed!

Well 'fingers crossed' is a phrase i've found myself uttering quite a few times during the whole Mustang ordering process! smile Certainly hope you manage to get your 350 without any hassle.

To be honest i think the best we can hope for in the UK is an officially imported LHD 350, as Chevy do with the 'vette, otherwise i could see costs being too prohibitive. My guess is that a UK car would need to be around £50-53k at most otherwise it's used Ferrari 430 for me! .... or just import a 350 myself from the US! smile

Keep us updated on your progress, I may yet be looking for a dealer state-side myself! .... fingers crossed! biggrin

The 'R' looks (and quite probably sounds) like my idea of motoring nirvana cloud9

Myles, are you saying you could that you could get an allocation if you wanted? ..... so are you a Ford dealer/representative? ..... I didn't think the 350 was available outside North America, not even in NI!? smile

I moved out of NI a few years back - i sell US cars and bikes to the US military in Italy - so we got ( iirc) 20 of them, which were lottery-ed out. I wasnt lucky enough!

we were told the R wasnt even being released, they were gone instantly.
