Hold on a second!
No strut brace?
No additional gauges (3 air vents instead)?
The rear tail lights have annoyed me a lot and the talk of the fog lights being DRLs (may have misheard)
Not sure where you've been but all very old news I'm afraid! Anyone with their eyes open and a little common sense had a good idea many months ago, like early this year, that the UK cars were highly unlikely to have the Performance Pack i.e. strut brace, additional gauges etc. and that there would be very limited available options. No strut brace?
No additional gauges (3 air vents instead)?
The rear tail lights have annoyed me a lot and the talk of the fog lights being DRLs (may have misheard)
And a big LOL at people moaning about the 5 bhp drop!

Are you gloating Ade ?
I suspect thats where i'm going with all this ????? US import ???
No, not gloating at all. I scratched the Mustang itch a few years ago when I had a Rousch. I hope it lives up to your expectations.I suspect thats where i'm going with all this ????? US import ???
I've never really 'got' why people clamoured & waited for a European model. It was always going to be a watered-down version of the US model. There are enough importer/dealers out there who will source, warrant & IVA whatever you want, and generally no waiting times either.

I work for RedBull Milton Keynes, I am a fully qualified engineer also, 1BHP is very noticeable, READ above! The curve is the same (apparently) and read my concernes above regarding testing and the figures we've been given, also 5BHP at the peak will be even more noticeable!
You are joking right and I need a woosh parrot?Centurion07 said:

I'm glad I started this thread now
If loads of you cancel your orders, those of us that are happy to stick with it might get our cars that bit sooner
Could even see some early price discounting if Ford start to get worried? Damn they'll be wishing they hadn't announced that big 5 bhp drop If loads of you cancel your orders, those of us that are happy to stick with it might get our cars that bit sooner

The issue is that the spec has been slowly, bit by bit, eroded over the last 12 months. When I first thought about ordering a Mustang (about this time last year) the information was that there would be a limited model range (V8 and ecoboost) with limited options, but the V8 would have the US performance pack. Since then small bits and pieces have slowly been chipped off the spec (most of the performance pack and also other stuff like ACC and blind spot assist), right up until the latest letter from Ford informing us that the car has lost another 5bhp and no cars will be delivered this side of 2016. This disappointing situation has been further compounded by the fact that Ford and their dealers have been unbelievably awful in their treatment of customers who are about to lash out £35k on a Ford. US spec or UK spec, Ford should have done a much better job. That's why people are pid off.

Then you'll be consigned to lesser (IMO) Euro models if you want a US car. Your loss...
I don't see it as a lesser model.......it's still a 400+ BHP RWD coupe with lots of presence for well under £40k....The only loss if there wasn't a RHD version would be Fords, as I suspect many folk like me would have spent their cash on something else
It's a 'loss' if you're into American cars, which I'm not and never have been. It hasn't been my life-long desire to own one and I couldn't care less that I've ordered a 'Mustang' - what I've ordered is a very cool-looking, (and by all accounts) very capable car, that is different from anything else out there and isn't German.

Point well made, I couldn't give a crap about 5bhp, you won't notice it on day to day driving. What does concern me is the crap level of communication form Ford and the watering down of spec, I'm not always on forums checking to see what has changed but my understanding was that the performance pack had things like gauges etc. .so not overly impressed with reduced spec.
