Torque was also affected now 387lbs/ft not 400lbs/ft

Lost 5BHP & 13lbs/ft
Source? The letter from Ford states nothing else is affected from this 5BHP loss (although I find it impossible to believe; it must affect SOMETHING!).

They're very expensive and they won't fit apparently, so they will have to be custom made

On the basis that they had to mod the manifolds to clear the steerig column for RHD cars, likely that aftermarket headers for US won't fit without modification either.

That said, its nothing that an angle grinder, tube bender and welder can't fit smile

Frankly, having changed manifolds on my S197, I'll stick to the stock ones and when warranty runs out may fit an axleback system. Unless you're going forced induction the cost isn't worth the gains bhp wise.

If it's a cat back you 'should' be OK. THe issue is at the engine end - not the rear wink

Quinny where did you order from and how much was it delivered? Im looking into ordering a Borla at the moment but so far Borla themselves have been fairly unhelpful.

Which one did you go for?

Ordered the cat back touring system with black tips....

From Levittown Ford Super Centre New York

I contacted Benny in the parts Dept by email..... Told him what I wanted, and he mailed me a price including shipping by FedEx to the UK.

Price was just under $1400, but obviously I'll get clobbered for VAT on top of this......but still a substantial saving over the UK supplierssmile

As has been said 5 BHP is neither here or there......but if I'm honest, I'm more concerned that they've only just realised that either the RHD steering column, didn't fit with the exhaust manifold, or the exhaust manifold was in the way of the new RHD Steering......

In this age of computer design etc, I would have thought all this would have been established ages ago....

It does make me wonder what else will have to be "tweeked" to get the RHD bit to workscratchchin

Let's hope they've realised we need pedals on the RHS as well as a steering wheelhehehehe

Even more worrying is that the steering wheel will come from the glove box and the instrument cluster is still on the left hand side!

As mentioned, it is a little concerning that its taken this late in the day to notice... However and the same as everybody else here, it won't be making me cancel my order smile

I'll be ordering the same exhaust. Sounds epic without being too load.

That was my reasoning also....I've had loud, and I've had really loud....great fun for a while, but on both occasions I ended up getting it modded to quieten it down.....this time I decided I'd be sensible from the start and get something to pep up the standard noise level, but without going OTT..
