Apparently guards, deep impact blue and competition orange being discontinued for any post June production.

Replacing it is grabber blue, a couple of mid metallic blue(s) and a pearl white.

Thoughts......

Cant see why they are ditching these colours but it will make my CO V8 rarer so suits me

Fairly typical model year change.

Interesting that Grabber Blue is making a comeback. It was dropped due to lack of supply and difficulty in matching it under warranty repairs.

I'm surprised they are changing so quickly - it will really age the early models. The blue was stunning as well.

I put down the deposit on mine today. The dealer told me Guard, Orange and the current Blue are all off the menu for anything being ordered now. Shame as I quit fancied the Guard Green one. Oh well.

I was in my dealer this morning. He told me that guard and orange are no longer available.

I went in to Eastleigh yesterday and had the same conversation - the sales chap said he was going to order a blue/ceramic car (my first choice) and it's a bit sad they've dropped it.

I can't find any pictures of the Lightning Blue, so I may order and change when I've seen it.

Thanks, but that doesn't give me any real idea what the car would look like - hopefully we'll see something soon from Ford.

The US takes Model Years really seriously. The whole idea being to make last year's car - very obviously - last year.

So changes in colour, trim, wheels, badging etc.

Ah, after some discussion with 'er-indoors, we had agreed on CO. Dammit!

Has anyone been able to order the new colours yet? Made a deposit two days ago and wasn't given the option for the 2017 cars. Happily told me I couldn't order a my16 colour mind!

No, not on Vista yet, you've plenty of time to amend your order though.

Ive just looked at the ford UK mustang configurator website again.... try selecting one of the discontinued colours wink

Orange shows a Grabber Blue car
Guard shows a Pearl White
Deep Impact Blue shows the Lightning blue

I doubt it will be long now before the new colours are available to order.

The Grabber Blue image has got me thinking ......

I really want grabber blue. I have a DIB GT on order since December.

I don't think I will change as I will have to restart my 9 month wait and will cost me at least another 500 due to the January price increase. Will imagine there will be a price increase for MY17 too.

May do a wrap in the future.

Thanks - I was really hoping Lightning would be nice; these configurations aren't always the best way to test a colour, but that blue looks horrible (and nothing like the sample a few posts up). Hmm. Sticking with Race for now.

Hi mate if you're car hasn't been built yet there should not be a delay or price increase it will be cheaper as grabber blue is a standard colour you are free to adjust your order any time you like until it has been built I changed my order 2 weeks before it was built from yellow to competition orange and this was after the base price increase and now im paying £800 less
