Discount??

So I'm pulling the trigger on a mustang.

Is there any discount to be had? Probably got to be more then £1000 to make me buy it somewhere else other then my local dealer.

Not really, not with a waiting list as long as the mustangs, what model are you going for?

I figured as much. Why would they so I paid the deposit.

I've gone for the least sporty to drive. Being a v8 auto convertible, in black with the extra options pack so black wheels too.

No discounts available in the UK . I couldn't even get a tank of fuel when I ordered mine. The dealer was quite prepared to let me walk out of the door as they are struggling to supply the ones that have been ordered on time and the waiting list is considerable . I'm told their mark up is as little as £700 per car and so it's just not worth their while to offer anything.

Margin is circa £2k depending on exactly which model. No discount though, I can sell cancelled ordered over list within a few days of them arriving at the moment.

The EcoBoost is least sporty but check your order urgently as the extra option pack has silver wheels!!! The way to delete chrome is it order the options separately.

I thought you werent allowed to do that... arent UK dealers instructed by Ford to sell at RRP only... same goes for the FRS?

I'm not selling the car for over the RRP, but I can sell an additional item for for £X pounds (normally 'immediate delivery').

Actually. You're right. I do get silver wheels. Though not the standard silver wheels. The ones I prefer. Also because I've got the convertible. You don't get the chrome window trim.

The builder doesn't update the wheels when you option the pack

There are plenty of Mustangs for sale on Autotrader, and the prices are all over the place.
I would wait until next year and see how the market is then.
If a dealer will let you walk out the door...then walk.
