How do you remove the ugly GT tin lid off the boot ?

It depends what you want in place of it. You can dismantle the decklid panel and remove the GT emblem but it leaves you with about six unevenly spaced holes. So your options would be to get those filled and then paint/wrap the original or replace the panel with a different one - you can get plain or carbon fibre or ones with different emblems on.

You will need to buy a new decklid. The American spec one just has the GT badge. Or get the ecoboost for the mustang emblem
