Hi there

Just an update, I've had my Shelby GT500 kit fitted now for over two weeks.
Installation was incredibly easy and quick to do, thats the advantage of a kit made by Brembo for a Ford car, no problems with fitment.

The difference is night and day over stock, no fade, better control under hard braking and the car stops so much quicker. Plus they look rather menacing too.

Nice one. I've got the GT500 kit sitting in my house ready to go along with the wheels. Just need a car to fit it to hehe

Hi there

These are not the best pics, but they give you the general idea:-

The brakes piece of kit to fit, cost me £500 landed in the UK and I got them from a private seller in the US as they would not fit with his wheels. If you search around I do believe these can still be had from US for $900-$1100 just need to shop around.

They perform fantastic, the rotors are heavy, but the calipers are lighter. When I wear these down I will look into putting two-piece rotors all round for weight reduction as a whole. For now all is fine, very happy with them.

P.S. Click the pictures to open them full size.

The Baer GT system is basically what is fitted to Monaro VXRs as standard and are manufactured by PBR. On a 1650kg car they do the job well but ceramic pads are recommended to get the best out of them (on my list for when the current stock pads wear out). I've never experienced fade and I've done some fairly heavy braking from >150mph down to about 30mph at Bruntingthorpe. Quite a lot of peeps have upgraded to the 6pot AP system (for £2500) but I'd say they are overkill for road use. They do look cool though.
