I prefer the red one but isn't it odd that they didn't widen the stripes to incorporate and hide the bonnet vents. they sort of break up the lines a bit.

I would imagine they're following the Shelby 'guidelines' for the Le Mans stripes which mean they have to be a certain width and distance apart. Usual Shelby heritage (tm) bolx

Very nice though. Like the Razor's too

One question, who are all you guys using for servicing?

Where in the southeast are you? For the last four years I've used Dart Corvette in Leigh near Tonbridge and they've been great. Obviously they specialize in dealing with the dark side, but they do understand supercharged V8s which your local Ford dealer probably doesn't

Can't tell - are the razor wheels the chrome or anthracite ones?

I hope Dart are better than they were when I used them in 1996 when after 3 weeks they failed to fix a fault that Claremont fixed in a morning (duff O2 sensor). They didn't seem to understand the electrical side at all back then.

I do it myself. There is nothing in the service schedule that can't be done by anyone who can wield a simple spanner. For comples motors, I'd want a FSH. For American cars, I've never had a problem doing it myself and as long as you keep a record, I'm pretty sure I'll do it far better than a dealer. The computer does most of the looking after vthe engine, it has hydraulic lifters so basically there's nothing very complicated. If something does go wrong, I can get it fixed using all that money I saved on dealer's labour charges. Will it affect the used value? Not in my experience.

Yep I think you're right, no one is going to care more for your motor than yourself.

I wouldn't trust myself to do more than top up the oil and water.....it took me a week to change the battery on my 300zx hehe (although I'll admit that was mainly as I'd lost my socket set!).

LuS1fer, it's a pity you're so far away or you could setup a nice sideline in servicing thumbup

so far I have been using my local Ford dealer for servicing (just oil/filter changes) this keeps my book stamped, reason being I actually DO have a warrenty with mine from Saleen who built my car,so for the sake of approx £70 for an oil/filter change to keep my warrenty i think it's a small price
