filling the car is becoming a joke at the moment. seriously considering getting a funnel and seeing if that will work.

yesterday was just about the biggest pisstake when we (my S197 and two MX5s we were with) all peeled into a service station for our final fill up before the final assault on Calais.

essentially, we all started filling up at the same time. by the time they filled to the top (35 litres or so) i was on 9. by the time they had paid and got back to their car i was on 14. really really frustrating.

still love the car though, especially when the deck hands on the ferry allowed me to power slide it off the deck and cleared other motorists from my path thumbup

yeah i have the same problem, every body in the station keeps asking me how big the tank is because ive been there so bleeding long. I give up at £30 as i usually lose the will to live by then.

Surely it must be our pumps as i cant see the yanks putting up with it.

I seem to remember there was a big recall in the states to fix the issue.

Doesn't really help you though smile

i'd love to get details as i'll attempt to get the parts in december and get ian to fit them. i have NO problem paying for a solution. as long as its not more than a funnel wink

even though there was a recall to fix it, the problem was still there even after the fix!

got the opposite problem with my 96, the pump rarely clicks off, so unless you listen for the gurgle as it nears full, it spits fuel all over the bumper nad your feet....
I'd swap my problem for your problem (as long as you're not really spilling fuel on your nads...)
depends how close you stand!! PMSL
