Recently down-sized to this, after 3 years in a 6.1L hemi Mopar. I'm growing to like this five-oh a lot.

I got my old girl out of the barn this weekend. Took off the dust cover. Popped in the battery. Started like I turned it off just yesterday.
In for the test on Thurs - with some good weather on the horizon. I'm looking forward to this weekend.

May sound a silly question as your profile says you live in London, but:

Was that picture taken in Dronfield, Derbyshire?

The reason I ask is because your Mustang looks identical to one I used to see around 2008. The house, drive and posts all look exactly the same too. Was it you or is there an identical Mustang up here in Derbyshire?

Mustang GT V8, Vista Blue, answers to Misty.
Upgrades: BBK CAI (probably with SSC Predator tune)325-350bhp, Eibach lowered, Hurst short shifter, EBC Yellow Stuff pads and Turbo rotors, Dot 5.1 fluids, Hids, Nitrogen in the tyres, Stubby aerial, Silverhorse Grill inserts.
She goes, stops, corners and lights the road ahead, beautifully.

Thanks! I'm increasingly pleased with it. I' about to order a Boss 302 intake that should pep things up a bit, higher in the rev range and it definitely needs a more free-flowing exhaust, but generally it is a fun (but v common in these parts) package.

Looks pretty good in white.

I'm very tempted to rent a 5.0 when I go and visit my girlfriend at Christmas time, but not sure it will be worth the extra money charged over the regular V6. I'm not saying the V8 isn't amazing, just that Hertz charge a ridiculous premium for it.

There's little wrong with the 6 cyl car for general vacation duty - though I'd never buy one to live with for 2-3 years. The 100+ hp upgrade of the GT makes it a very different car when things get serious.

Yes indeed. I'm really hoping to get to own one if I ever get over to live in America. Just have to be patient for my girlfriend to be ready.
