Paul, I totally agree with you. After 9 months of owning a Typhon, I certainly would not swap it for the newer version.
Jon - were you driving out in the Chilterns on Sunday (Feb 10th) - Tring station - as I could have sworn I spotted a Typhon and yours is the only one I am aware of in the near locality?

Hi Craig,

Not me. The car was up and down the M4 last week and stayed in the Teddington area, but not Tring.

To date have covered about 3.5k miles (in 8 weeks!!) in the 440. It's mainly been on big fast roads - down to Le Mans the day after I picked it up, etc so haven't had the opportunity to push it much. It's very big compared to the other TVRs but incredibly comfortable and a pleasure to drive. 'Daft Lad' took it round the track at Alford, his grin suggested he was happy with it's performance and he beat 2 GT3s, a lambo, a ferrari and a sagaris although the sagaris was just a smidge behind. I took the Sagaris round the 'ring a couple of times and it was superb, particularly in the Karoussel. I hope to take the 440 over next year so will beable to give a better comparison on the handling then.
have you seen the martin brundle video he puts it up against the leading super cars (it was a few years ago now) i'd kill for a go in one. i love how TVR manage to create such great cars for such a small cost!
