Lets get a few facts clear here;
You don't know the facts.

Better you let potential owners do their spade work, it's a lot of money to spend and get wrong based on PH folklore.

The shape doesn't do it for me, I'd prefer to shell out on the best Tuscan 2 convertible I could find and then have it trimmed and painted to my dream spec.

Come on lottery.....

Sorry if I have offended you John, I can merely work with what I saw personally in Le Mans, what I know to be the case from the then owner and the rest was a fair assumption. Whatever, I'm done.

I cant be bothered to comment further on it.

It seemed mostly accurate to be fair.

To avoid irritating TVR_owner, I have asked the kind ladies and Gents of PH to remove my post from the various people who quoted me. Sorry if I have touched a nerve.

Thanks for your email DA, most appreciated, fantastic cars, even in a short time they all seem to already have led interesting lives in thier own ways. thumbup As I said in the email, chasing the red press car felt like seeing a modern 250GTO. I'll have it one day. smile

Was that Le Mans 2006?

I remember a car crashing just in front of us and it was in the convey with the T440R/T400/Typhon (long time ago to remember) but not sure if it was the actual car, we followed one out of the filling station, it went round a corner and then we lost sight of it and heard a squeal of tyres and a crunch as the guy caught the back end and that spun him round and he ended up getting the front too.

wonder if my friend has any photos of which one it was that crashed.

It was a silver 911 that hit it, IIRC

Not the same one then... this was a bit too much gas and something on the corner (water/oil/diesel) and back end just lost it.

I only remember it so well as we talked to the owner of the T440R/T400/Typhon whilst at dover waiting to get on the ferry and it was his friend that crashed one of his cars later on at french side... we would have been in the black fezza stickered up and we were dressed as batman and superman that year.
