Still have a Game Gear, with the tv tuner and magnifying glass!!

I'm sure we still have our first ever computer - an Amgia 500 in the loft. Also have an original Atari.

My parents still have a thirty year old Texas Instruments TI99/4a that still works, along with a selection of games and the speech synthesiser.

There's a C64 in my attic somewhere too.

Somehow the really old games were more fun. Probably because with simple controls and "advanced" graphics game-play was they only thing worth concentrating on.

I've got one of them as well, but without the speech synthesiser and only about 4-5 games. Worked last time I tried it but the joysticks were a bit tired.

I seem to remember the joysticks were a little tired even when they were new.

This thread is motivating me to convert the second bedroom into a games room! Nowhere on a par with some of the above, but in the loft, boxed, in mint condition I have:

Amiga A600 (and a shed-load of games - some boxed and some... ahem... backups wink )
Super Nintendo (Mario addition with Mario Bros 1-4 (I think) on a single cartridge
Playstation
Playstation 2 (small)

And a PS3 under my TV.

You sir have an awesome collection of stuff.

Make my QL, C64, Spectrum +2, NES, SNES, Handfull of Game and Watches, N64, Mega Drive, and Game Boys seem a bit puny. I do enjoy tracking down things though and have probably sold on via ebay etc more than I have kept hold of.

This is what I keep hoping!

I have:

Amstrad CPC 464 with a load of games
Megadrive
2x Dreamcasts!
think I might still have a original playstation.

Got rid of loads a year or two ago, as they never got any use and didnt look like any of it would be worth anything soon.

Not only that but on a C64 in "high colour" mode (4 colours per 8x8 udg) you only got 160 pixels across, which makes a pixel 1/4". Not only that but some of the Atari 800 modes were only 80 pixels across and the Vic 20 only 22 characters!

A 320X256 screen is considered small for a cheap 2.8" Android phone these days. The C64 emulator runs quite nicely on my £80 Galaxy GT-i5500.

I have a mega CD and a mint copy of Snatcher.
What was the name of one of the first games on the Mega CD where there was some teenager house party, but some baddies (all in black) were trying to break into the house and the idea was to stop them with traps etc (or something?). I remember seeing an advert at time thinking 'fk those graphics are amazing and what a terrifying game!'.

Unfortunatly my dad is incredibly Scottish, so had to make do with a Master System frown
