I'm no fanboy (didn't play GT5 and wont be playing FM4) but this looks miles better than Polyphony's last effort.

yes and I'm fairly sure there'll be far more to do as well. Can't wait for this, I've even told work I won't be in on the 14th.

Is there any info on what you you get in FM4 when you transfer the FM3 game save with all the FM3 achievements? Just wondering whether its worth slugging out the last couple of achievements in the next week or so. I've got the races in the event list down to about 6 or 8 series for R1 and R2 left (basically the bottom right corner of the event list board) and still haven't got back to the drifting 100k achievement. If its a big thing they give you to have all the FM3 achievements it might be worth it, otherwise, not so sure.

no mention on achievements, just the cars that will get moved over, layer groups and small credit bonuses for different things like your level, money and the type of cars you have.

Is it all your layer groups or do you have a limited number and have to select which ones to transfer over, just that I have nearly 200!!

I think all groups but no paint jobs will be transferred over as they won't work with the new car lighting.

Thats another thing I was going to do, save the paints I've done that I want to keep as front/back/left/right/top layer groups then transfer them to cars in FM4.

Yup best idea there. I have done all my paints this way now.

And as far as I understand your save game does not actually transfer over at all. You do get 'rewarded' for having a Forza3 save game though:-

You get a gift car for every level you are in Forza 3, starting with a Fiat 500 for level one and ending with a Peugeot LeMans car for level 50.
Then you get a small selection of cars gifted if you already own them in yur Forza3 garage (Including the 430Scud and the Gallardo SL).
You can then (as already pointed out) transfer a copy o all your layer groups over. The layer groups thing is an all or nothing affair.... you will be asked the question if you want to transfer, if you do it will import them all in one go, no selection process available.

I beleive your Forza3 save will still work without change.

This is fully detailed on the Forza pitpass linked earlier in this thread with a full list of the 'driver level' car list and the 'loyalty' car list.

In that case, completing the game 100% doesn't seem so important for FM4, complete game and drifting are the only achievements I'm short of. I really didn't fancy the R1 and R2 endurance races to be honest hehe .

Ok, it's in German, and I daresay most of you have already frequented th FM.net fora, but the complete car roster, with screenshots, is here:

Oh, and mine is in it (or the Yank market version, anyway...) - which is nice...

Thanks for that
Still think its a sham that they haven't put the Bentley flying spur or the new XJ SS in always thought that chucking luxo barges around would be fun.

Maybe because it’s primarily for the American market?

They don't like the early NSX's, still using the badly modeled one from forza 1. Oh well, the new R is ok.

don't suppose anyone has read or come across anything that tells us how many slots we'll have on our SF for paints, logos and tunes? As a painter the current 18 is just not enough and hoping Forza 4 give us more.
