Is anybody still using the remote b-spec? I still use it whilst I'm at work to garner a few credits, but I haven't seen anyone use my Bobs for weeks.

unfortunately the spec 2 update has pretty much put the nail in the coffin of GT5 for me.

I did the update and it in short corrupted my game save data which lost everything,650 cars, level 40 on a and b spec.

It took me right back to having nothing at all.

Thankyou Sony and PD
Oh no. I installed the update last night, but I didn't back up the game save before I did the install. Have I messed up my saved game? I haven't tried playing the game since the update.

Me either, my save game was fine, I think you've got to be quite unlucky for it to corrupt.

Doesn't the options menu have something that can try and recover a corrupted save? I can't remember.

Tapeworm does (or at least has been) have been rewarding anyone who has used my bobs in the last few weeks with tickets and cars (what ever I have left over).

Again everyone, I know its been a while, but thanks for using my bobs, will send cars etc when possible!

I have held off updating until I can get round to backing up, not risking losing the data... Again!

i was at a spec 33, b spec 40 and lost it all. to be honest I enjoyed it more the second time round, always choose a competitive car to enjoy the races.

Dont think I could do it a 3rd time though

the recovery option din't work from the utilities menu so i have to start again.

Weirdly i didn't lose any photos or video replays saved just the most important bit. I'm certainly not too fussed about getting to level 40 again but i need to get past 20 just so i can actually buy cars.

Do you want any cars sending over or made availible online to help you get going again, understand if you don't. Just offering to help get back up to speed.

Use a USB stick, copy from the game save utility on the main playstation screen, I'm on a launch PS3 that wheezes like an asmatic even when I just go to turn it on, so backing up all games often these days.

Do it sooner rather than later, the night I decided to do mine was the night it died, was a release on too lost 500gb of data on the HDD frown Going to try the hot air gun trick at somepoint to see if I can get it back just to recover the saved games

Spa looks great! The karting track looks like it could be quite fun for a bit of drifting, too. smile

I think I'll be getting the track pack, but not bothering with the car pack. Just doesn't really seem worth it to me, although I do want that MX-5.
