oh, the new red bull is noticeably faster on the straights. it'll do 270mph with the aero up on full!!! with standard aero instead of topping out at about 280odd, it'll hit a smidge over 300.
I put the aero on minimum and it topped out at 297mph on La Sarthe with no chicanes. Can you tune the power up?
was that because of gearing? my X2011 runs at just over 1590bhp, my X2010s are all around 1560something. even my X2010 will top 310 with minimum aero down la sarthe.
I'll have to check the power when I get home, not a gearing issue it was quite a distance from the red line.
Could well be a gearing issue then - your gears are too long if you you hit vMax with plenty of rpms left before the red line. Try reducing the top speed per the gearbox to about 10 mph above your previous top speed.
It was a "man look" issue. Thought I was using the new Red Bull car but was in fact using a 2010 model. Now I have the new cars, including 2011 Red Bull I've seen 303 at Le Sarthe

Yeah the RX7 and the GTR are the highlights from the DLC for me. Not sure what it is about Spa but you seem to feel the bumps more than most tracks, anyone else felt that? I dont know if they have a different way of modelling the surface to the original tracks.

i've still hit 310 with the 2010 model with the aero all the way down. have you tried changing it's oil...usually a few bhp to be had there.

after about 40-50miles and an oil change when it was new my 2011 is running 1594bhp!

B Spec Bob got the X2011 to just over 260 between the chicanes lastnight, haven't tried it without the chicanes.

Is your ps3 not connected to the internet?

PS3 has built in wired and wireless internet, so if you have a wireless router you can set it up straight away.

Then you just add the other persons gamertag to your friends list. Then the car can be sent over.
It is now. this was a while ago, I have know PS3 friends. all my mates are Xbox's fan boys.

Feel the bumps more than say La Sarthe? I personally didn't get that last night...

edit: what were you driving?

It's worse in certain cars. I could barely drive through f2010 as it was so bad on the long run before final chicane.

Following the community reaction to some of the intricacies of the downloadable content released earlier in the week (or next week for North America), Kazunori Yamauchi has been busy working on solutions and responding to complaints via Twitter. The latest of these includes a nod to the present, one-off nature of the car pack:

We’re planning an another update for GT5 in December. In that update users who purchased cars and tracks from the DLC already, can receive a free “family upgrade” in the PS Store, which will let all users in the same PS console use the DLC.

People who bought the DLC cars will have those cars added to the dealers in the December update.

After this December update you can purchase a second car and so on from the dealer.

This comes as great news to gamers who’ve bought the car pack but who have been reticent to drive the cars for fear of wearing them out and for those unable to buy the DLC packs for their primary Gran Turismo gaming accounts (or their children’s accounts).

Following on from these Tweets, Yamauchi also provided a tantalising teaser (and a small caution) to those gamers who have already purchased the DLC packs:

Next, don’t get your hopes up too high, but PDI is also readying a X-mas present for those who’ve already bought multiple DLCs.

Quite what form the “present” will take, or what “multiple” means isn’t clear, but we have two months to speculate. Thanks to homeforsummer for the tip-off!

That's good to know. I thought it was odd how you couldn't buy any duplicates of the DLC cars.

Got the DLC through the PSN Store but it didn't download anything ?

Haven't had time to try the game yet but does it just auto install. Was only going to get Spa but just grabbed the whole pack since it's only £7.50 or so.

You need to go into the game, and on the screen where you choose GT mode or arcade mode etc, you need to go across to downloadable content and install all the DLC items. smile
