Nope, I did the blood on the ice quest - in fact the murderer just blatantly stabbed a lady in the market right in front of me!

But the secret room has my alchemy and enchanter kit and it looks nice and clean so all is well!

I'm having real trouble killing a blood dragon. My weapons don't seem to hurt it very much at all and its fire breath wrecks me frown

Any tips ?

The best weapon I have is a Blades Sword (Superior) that does 27 damage, but I can't get close enough to use it.

I have a frost spell that does 8 dmg per second but when I get close enough to use it, it uses its fire breath and kills me!

I've tried killing it with the bow but I can't hit it while it's flying around.

In the early stages you will die now and again against dragons (I've been eaten a few times!). If you can poison the sword/bow every time you fire/use it that might help. And run around behind it and swipe with a power attack then run around the other side....

If you can get the DragonBane sword that helps a lot on dragons.

Also may want to stock up on Resist Fire potions.

Run away. Early on in the game there will be things that you just can not kill (or have huge problems with) as they are so much stronger than you. Dragons don't show up until you start the "Dragon Rising" quest.
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_Rising

Skip this quest and you will not get dragons. You can build yourself stronger then do the quest later. Try smithing to get better armour and weapons.

I'd like to see more dialog options that acknowledge your past achievements.

Like, when the Court Mage at Whiterun tells you that if you have some magical aptitude and should join the College of Winterhold, an option to say

I am the Arch-Mage of Winterhold!

Or during the Thieves Guild quest when you ask Brynjolf why they don't hire the Dark Brotherhood and he replies that they each deal with their own business it would be nice to say

I am the leader of the Dark Brotherhood. Is this an issue?

Finally, some guard at Solitude said "out of my way, Bard" recently.

Mate, I'm the Dragonborn, Thane of Solitude, Thane of Whiterun, Listener of the Dark Brotherhood, Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold, Leader elect of the Thieves Guild and Harbinger of the Companions. You might want to give me just a tiny bit more respect than that unless you want an arrow in the knee.

Yup, I think about that a lot too. Same as when a guard says "you can throw some spells, am I supposed to be impressed".....

The only post event significant change of dialogue that seems to have been put in I have found is with the former Stormcloak supporting Jarl of Riften. If you try and have a peace treaty and as apart of that allow Riften to be handed over to the Imperials, she buggers off to Windhelm and sits grumpily in the great hall and if you talk to her (even if you were given the title of Thane by her) she gives you abuse hehe

So if you've completed the main quest by brokering peace in the Civil War and staying resolutely neutral throughout... is it too late to think "ah sod it, let's have a war anyway"?

I thought it might be quite amusing to side with the Imperials since I killed their Emperor during the Dark Brotherhood quest. hehe

Nope, I completed the main quest and brokered peace then did what you have to do... Then I went over and joined the Stormcloaks - after all, those other f***ers wanted to execute me for nothing.....

Nope you only broker a temporary truce during the main quest. You can then side with who ever you want to complete the civil war quests.

Leads to some pretty large fights as you storm entire towns but you may find it a little easy if you're at a high level.

You could be right there - I'm quite the rapid-fire sniper these days with the archery tree pretty much complete, a high archery skill, and gauntlets, helmet, ring and necklace of Fortify Archery. Oh, and an awesome bow. In fact, the Bow of Awesome. smile

Edit: No cheating here. It's an Ebony bow that's been improved with 100 smithing and clothes, ring & necklace of Fortify Smithing + a Blacksmith's Elixir, then enchanted with 100 Enchanting and dual enchantments of Fiery Soul Trap and Fire.

Oh I think all that is taken into account on that pic. I don't think that is base damage so your bow is probably similar to mine.

Edit: I too was wearing all those, and my enchantments are quite serious. I think my helmet has +30% Archery for example. Maybe even +40%. And similar for necklace, gauntlets and ring.
