PC/PS3 players, is it still as buggy as it was?
Dear god yes, currently got two quests which can't be completed, one guy wants a book I've had for ages, but can't give him it, the other wants me to go speak to some guy about the hall of the dead, which wouldn't let me, now I've got no chance as I led him to namira's feast, slaughtered, and ate him, ahhh well.

At least on the PC version you can use the console to manually advance a quest. I've had to a couple of times now, and I too have the 'Hall of the Dead' one but haven't got round to sorting it out yet.

Guess I won't swap over to the PC version then...

Um, why? The ability to manually advance stalled quests is a good thing. Also the PC version has much better graphics and a shedload of user-generated add-ons and enhancements.

If you are running the XBox360 or PS3 version and you get a stalled quest then you're stuffed. With the PC version you just drop into the debug console and nudge it on a step. Sorted.

Well, if it's still as much of a problem now as it was earlier in the thread, I mean, most posts were complaining at various bugs and crashes, having to save every 5 minutes just in case it crashed, making it practically unplayable... Also, isn't it linked into steam such thst you can't play offline, which would mean hardly ever being able to play it to start with...

While it is definitely better on a pc, with mods and the console and better graphics and so on, if it's still as buggy as an insect museum then I just don't think it's worthwhile...

Can't remember when I last had an actual CTD.

If you go PC you will be set up for the remade Morrowind and Oblivion using the Skyrim engine.

Yeah, but the xbox version doesn't seem to have any problems to start with, and I know my laptop won't run the good graphics anyway (and I have even less clue how to uprate it so it could...) so a major part of why I would get the pc version is gone...

And just having the xbox version has caused me to lose too much of my time to playing it, I'm well over the 100 hour mark already...

Xbox version here too..have NEVER had a stalled quest, never had any issues.

PS3 once again is the poor relation (Yes I have both, on the plus side PS3 makes a great BluRay player)

IIRC, earlier in the thread it was stated that they made it for the xbox, then tweaked it for the ps3 and pc.

Can't remember who said it though, but it seems to make sense.

Edit for formatting.

ETA - Y2, did you mean have both a PS3 and Xbox, or have skyrim on both?

Thieves guild? Those small quests to become leader take an awfully long time. I got a bit fed up, but I'm glad I did them all.
Oops! Forgot the thieves - leader there too!

Email associated with the account had died meaning I wasn't getting steam guard emails, hence I couldn't get in due to a new computer which wasn't authorized.

I've never had a stalled quest on the PC version, loads of mods too and 214 hours played...not sure what people are doing to bugger it up.

It's mainly quest order. It's possible to do one that uses the same location as another that bugs the second because the person isn't there. Mainly radiant quests using random locations that turn out to be a location used for another quest effecting it often making it impossible to complete. Or essential quest givers being killed in Dragon attacks. If I couldn't use ressurect on one I couldn't even start the Ring of Hircine. Also killing some stop quests, they should not be able to be killed. Oh and Blood on the Ice is bugged and Hjerim is bugged if you buy it, you have to make sure you buy the clearup first or you will have blood and bones still in there.

Hearthfire was released yesterday on Steam for PC, £3.49 but as said it's just a house building mod.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/220760/

I might get it for the additional styles but it's not an essential.

Actually for £3.49 it's a bargain for what it does add, which is more than I thought.

New buildings, new NPCs, new items - http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Hearthfire

Ps and new bugs hehe
