Looks interesting even to someone like myself who never played Oblivion.

I like the Terry Pratchett angle too.

Talking of oblivion, I picked it up for xbox as well now, much prefer the xbox version.

Better graphics than the laptop as a start...

290 hours in, seam to get to level 50 then something breaks, so im on the 3rd run through.

Started with two handed, heavy armor.
Then went one handed, light armor.
Now using destruction magic with no armor.

You must have put some effort in, who got to level 81, it seams longer to go up the ranks after 50.

The last time i played a game to this extent was the first gran tursimo.

I got to 36 then Oghma Infinium glitched to 81.

I have done the same character 4 times now, adding refinements and stuff each time.

I haven't played Skyrim in at least 4 months.

I was trawling through some old desktop folders on Friday night and stumbled across my games folder.

Oh dear...

A whole weekend lost playing this again. I've only just managed to get my life back on track after the last time. There goes another 3 months...

I started from my old save, Level 39, Nord, twin elven daggers enchanted with health drain and fire magic. I decided to finish off the Brotherhood and Companions quests and now I'm hunting dragons.

God damn this game, it's like heroin...

New DLC trailer out, no PC release, and definitely no PS3 release...

Damnit! Put some nice mods onto Skyrim for a new playthough, and now I can't save the game frown

The amount of times I've sat through the damn into screen trying different combo's of mods, I think I'm just gonna have to try Vanilla, then add one at a time...must find a mod to skip that intro though...

What are you trying, check the file listings for compatibility patches or notes that they aren't compatible.

Have you used BOSS to sort the load order?

A Skyrim mod I recommend, Amazing Follower Tweaks - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15524

Extends the follower dialogue and commands, you can even force a follower to use only magic, only ranged weapons or only sword/daggers and you can make a follower dual wield too. Plus more control over what you want them to do.

eg. some of the options.

That would be really useful.

Annoying about PS3. I'm going to have to buy it for the 360 and start again. 160 hours down the pan frown

Yeah, it is a shame about it.

TBH, get it for the PC, mods make it so much better. (even though the graphics aren't as good on a low spec machine)

I've got all 3rd party (not Bethesda) HD textures, mesh improvements, better distance drawing, improved weather, light, environment mods. 122 in total now with no conflicts. Including more NPCs on the road and in taverns (Lively Inns and Taverns mod) as well as Unique Taverns that changes all of the vanilla style taverns. Water, grass, trees, rocks all changed, brawl plugin for better fights, follower tweaks, lanterns on the roads, mod to leave footprints in the snow (human & animal), weapon updates and armour updates.

And I was always adding and removing 3rd party homes/castles to live until I installed Hearthfire as the houses gave the most conflicts but ever since I discovered Bert's Breezehome remodel I have been using that and removed all new buildings (except Hearthfire created ones).

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8922 - great update, more space, has a model of the original Breezehome on a desk that you can enter and still use. It has working light, it's bright in the day, get's darker inside at night (you can turn lights on) working sorters, even a working toilet and shower. It also has a portal to extra rooms, a library, weapons store, underground garden and more including Dave a pet Dragon. It's the best one I've installed. Oh almost forgot the games room where you can play 10 pin bowling there's even a working pool table. smile

It's made it a different game since I first got it and makes it last longer, longer interest.
