Yo

2 years ago I got about 4 hours in on the Xbox but never really got in to it.

Now a friend at work has given me the Legendary Edition for the PS3. Making a night of it tonight since SWMBO is busy.

Quite excited if I'm honest lol, I guess there's no shame in that. Anyone still playing?
God, yes. You never "finish" playing as such. There's always more to do.

As per posts above, I'm really enjoying playing it again on PS3 after completing it when it first came out on Xbox360.

I only got a PS3 last year and got Skyrim as it was cheap, never heard of it. Since then I've logged about 200 hours, installed the Legendary Edition packs and spent the whole day playing it today when supposed to be on a study day...

I clearly didn't play it enough last time as I never heard that quote.
"I used to be an adventurer like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee."

It is one of the most famous lines from the game...

Well I think my first character has gone far enough. I seem to have made the mistake of getting involved into many quests and side-missions that the story line is a bit alover the place.

So I've started again, on a harder level setting with the plan to leave Dawnguard and Solstheim well alone for now. Although I do appear to have been bitten by a Vampire Lord already.

I heard it almost straight away on my current playthrough!

Enjoying it muchly, got about 10 hours in first play and lost interest... I don't think I was mature enough to enjoy the game.

Taking it more seriously now, listening to what people have to say rather than stabbing them. So far so good! About 10 hours in and still interested this time..

The guy from my work who borrowed me the game had just finished his third play through. I know the game never really ends but I can see it being fun going through and making different decisions here and there.

This legendary edition apparently lets me start as a vampire too if I want it?

If you want to stress test your PC try this - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50875/?

Grass everywhere, well you never see anyone with a lawn mower. hehe

Still being developed but it effectively turns all flat grass textures into full grass mesh.

Skyrim.ini
[grass]
iMinGrassSize=20 (max setting)

all swaying in the breeze, click for bigger.

I fire it up every now and again. I have put huge amounts of hours into it but I still keep finding new places and new people to meet and new quests. I have seen a map which shows every location and don't think I have found half of them.

I do as well, mainly to keep mod updates up to date so that if something big comes out, like Faalskar or Wyrmstooth I don't have to spend hours updated loads of mod to ensure compatibility.

I have only ever completed Skyrim once, in terms of all main quests, all Dragon masks found and all word walls. The save I have at the moment is a clean save in Riverwood so I will not have any savegame script problems uninstalling or installing anything. It's good to go if I want to.

The things I mainly have installed recently are loads of new NPC mods.

all of this guy's population mods and enhanced NPC AI - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/6370620/?tb=...
extended encounters - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50376/?
AI limit increaser - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50823/?

apart from this gfx improvement for ice.

I started playing this again at the start of February (for the 3rd time) and once again it has taken over all my free time lol.

I usually go for a straight up warrior with slight restoration magic abilities but I've mixed it up this time and gone for a Mage/warrior type of character.

I'm a bit annoyed that it is still buggy as hell (had to restart the PS3 about 5 times) and that they 'fixed' the smithing levelling so it's taking a hell of a lot longer to get dragon weapons and armour.

Level 34 and have only just started doing the main quest again after helping the Stormcloaks gain control of Skyrim, thwarting the vampire uprising with the Dawnguard, curing Kodlak of his beast blood and then just general exploring and other random quests.

Love this game so much. Can't wait for Elder Scrolls VI

More on Skywind, the Morrowind rebuilt using the Skyrim engine project, missed this when it was posted late last year - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDDQkdnWZ8Q&fea...

Bit of a playthrough but if you have played Morrowind you will notice the start and the obvious differences.

He's got more on here - http://www.youtube.com/user/Rebelzize/videos

It would appear I have found a bug that doesn't seem to be very common.

Playing on PS3 and the NPC trainers will not raise any levels. I pay them and it does the whole 5/5 can't train again until I go up a level but that skill I'm trying to train will not increase. A quick google has revealed nothing

Anyone else had this?

So what you're saying is that once you train a skill it sticks at that progress level? Not even using fire magic, for instance, would raise your destruction skill?

Well for example my 2-Handed skill level is 44, if I use Farkas to buy more levels, up to 49, it will say times trained this level 5/5 after buying the levels but the skill level is still 44.

At higher levels training doesn't always take you up a level, but should take you closer to leveling up. I never really paid for training so could be completely wrong.
