Might ask Santa for one of these ...
Got this for my PC in the Steam sale over Christmas. Had it years ago on the Xbox 360, but getting more into it this time.
Graphically, it's a lot better than the Xbox even though I'm only running a Radeon R7 250gb graphics card. I do notice a bit of lag when turning around etc. However, it is running on full settings and looks really nice.
I've just done the bit where you try to kill the Dragon at the top of the mountain (Throat of the world) and you get to look back in time.

I've gone back to Skyrim for a third or fourth time, playing as a pure magic user this time round… it's interesting. Alters the game quite a bit if you leave out weapons and armour, smithing and all that totally. Wish I'd tried it earlier.
I want to try that some time too. I would think it's much harder though, especially when starting out.I've already played a lot as an archer and swordsman, which wasn't too difficult.
It's ages since I've played it, but I remember trying to level up the magic skills where you can draw objects towards you and then throw them away. I was in a yard down in Riften chucking things around. Now & then a guard would come past on patrol and either mutter something under their breath or tell me off.

My first magic user focused on destruction spells, but had to keep a big fk off sword and heavy armour as backup as their magicka would soon run out.
Or do both, heavy armour with unlimited magicka https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJvSk80NAEI
Absolutely no weapons or armour whatsoever. Required a LOT of potion use, caution and the oak flesh etc spells but I did it. Nice challenge. Draugr Deathlords can 1-shot me if I'm unlucky but after ending up with the usual ridiculously overpowered archer previously this is a pretty welcome change.
Ok I started again as a Mage and I'm up to level 49 already. Smithing and Destruction Magic are up to 100.
The only mod I'm using so far is SkyUI for the first time. It's sooooo much better than the stock, console-base one.
This is also the first time I've played Skyrim with the Dawnguard and Dragonborn DLC, so that's been an interesting experience.
I'm over at Raven Rock at the moment and have recently defeated Miraak. You can make so much money over there it's ridiculous.
