Ah steam workshop. I never use that for mods as it's rather uncontrollable when it comes to mod compatibility.
Go into your Skyrim folder and check by date for any files that have been downloaded today, then delete them if they look like previous install skyrim mod updates and check Enderal again.
It's highly unlikely to be any enderal files deleted (or were overwritten) because the Enderal files are within the update.esm and all the EEN files (along with the Skyrim ones)
Check Data for any rogue esp files and the Data/Meshes data/textures data/scripts and data/sounds for new files from today.
I think something has entered the load order and is trying to find something that doesn't exist.
Remember if you delete to recycle bin you can easily restore them back if they are important ones.
Edited for typos from typing too quickly.

Tried all of that but still no luck.Go into your Skyrim folder and check by date for any files that have been downloaded by it, then if your recycle bin is empty delete them if they look like previous skyrim mod updates and check Enderal again.

Going to try a Skyrim re-install
Which involves another 30min download as Steam is capping my speed at 6.4mb for some reason
This time I will create a backup of the default vanilla Skyrim folder in case I need it in future.

That's what I have done, I have it on an external USB HDD.Some other shots, I've been wandering all the quarters of Ark, bought a house and collected about 15 quests, must get around to doing them.
I appear to have resolved it- I tried the full Skyrim re-install, even that didn't work.
Then I realised the one thing I had yet to try was a quick PC restart- did this and everything worked as normal. Doh.
If I'd have tried the 20 second reboot first, I'd have saved myself an hour of messing around!

Holy st that beginning is a bit dark isn't it?!
Literally just got started (first brawl on ship) before having to break for food. Really like what I've seen so far though, graphically looks great (Running on ultra at 58 FPS) and I'm intrigued by the totally different story and lore that's at play.
Looks like my Bank Holiday's sorted!

I'm doing a 'sneaky bd' on my first play-through, mostly archery/stealth so will need to get up a few levels/perks before I can properly pick off enemies while hidden.
Me too, decent equipment is bloody hard to find though! Admittedly I am still very early on, but it's not even like in Skyrim where at low level once you had found 1 iron sword you tended to then find them everywhere, giving you a ton of stuff to sell even if it wasn't worth very much. In this however, weapons are a LOT more scarce near the start. Makes it a lot more tense though- my elation at finding an iron mace (2 more damage than the sword!) was something I just never experienced in Skyrim, as I knew I could find steel weapons as easy as easy even if I had just started, and was only a couple of easy levels away from Orc items.I've properly appreciated every weapon I've found so far, which coupled with the much increased difficulty and no fast-travel has made me play with a caution and nervousness I just never experienced in Skyrim.

Quite, unexpected and did give me the heebeegeebees! Playing it in complete darkness with surround-sound headphones on, I was actually kind of relieved when the next bit loaded...
Im 31 FFS
Certainly has a much more 'grown-up' feel to it than Skyrim.
Has anyone had any success using any animation mods with Enderal?
I'm absolutely loving it so far, but having got used to my extensively modded version of Skyrim it's mildly jarring going back to what seem like mostly default animations.
I do like how they have included all of the SkyUI and various HUD tweaks as standard in Enderal, I was really not looking forward to having to deal with the original Skyrim UI!

You could try installing FNIS and using FNIS based animations with this Enderal patch. - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76979/?
"Without the patch certain cutscenes will not trigger Enderal specific animations."

I might give that a go later.
It's thrown me a bit as for as long as I can remember now I've used Nexus Mod Manager to deal with it all, but given that's loaded up with all the stuff from my 'other' Skyrim folder I'm guessing I need to do it manually.
Which is a PITA, as I discovered last night trying to install the dual weapon sheath mod for Enderal. I'm fine unpacking stuff and sticking in the data folder etc, but this involved running a 'Skyproc Patcher' which if I'm honest started to go a bit over my head!

If you load a new mod in and try and install it and it's got the red symbol next to it, it's because it has been installed on your modded skyrim and the virtual install folder data is still there, you can select it uninstall it then reinstall it. Should be ok now (virtual install info) for both versions.
OR
For Enderal find the Skyrim/mods/virtualinstall folder, make a copy of it and save it for your modded Skyrim and delete everything in the one you use for Enderal.
Just means if you swap from Enderal to Skyrim you have to swap the Virtual Install folders over.
Pain but it makes it work with no problems. Profiles might help too in the mod manager but I have never used them, I think it's what they designed for multiple Skyrim versions on one install.
