Started playing it again, looks better, but disappointed it doesn’t classify as a new game and still uses the special edition for achievements, was hoping to achievement farm with a new run through. Also, if you buy the physical version, it’s literally just a copy of special edition and a download code for the anniversary edition, which you still need to download and is now tied to your account, pure laziness on behalf of Bethesda IMO.

I've no idea what did the trick.
I had the black screen bug.
It started ok with all the mods I have on release day.
Then the next day it started with the black screen, sound is playing no visual.
I turned off all the mods and it launched once ok, then back to bs.
Enabled Arthmoor's unofficial patch, as the only mod (first in load order).
It launches every time now.

Do you have access to the unofficial patch on the x box ?

Yes, I have that patch. I think it's top of my load. I'll double check when I get the chance. Do you have access to the unofficial patch on the x box ?

ETA: Yep, it's top of my load. Hopefully the official patch will sort it this week.

Just started playing again with the Anniversary Edition on Series X. Just crashes all the time. I did a full delete and reinstall but made no difference :-(
Gutted I was really looking forward to getting back into the game with the new content after a few months off.

This time on PS5, bought the Special Edition then upgraded to the Anniversary Edition for £30 in total.
I have always used range/assassin sneak build with the occasional magic, but this time trying something totally different using full magic/sneak build, only using range to start the fight from distance then heading into combat using magic. Trying it on expert difficulty as well so it's not easy but I'm coping so far. Just bought a load of spells in Whiterun after doing a couple of side quests for some coin and items, this has upgraded the damage and healing my spells can do.
I bloody love this game, going to start building a house and doing some smithing soon to improve the armour I'm wearing.
