Yeah you can - mine does anyway when I press R.

I notice that GameFront already have a Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC Walkthrough, which is pretty good going since it's not released yet.

It's out on Beta release for Xbox 360. I mentioned that about 3 pages back smile

Ok, I just tested this again and I can see what has happened; the update has reset all my key reassignments to default. furious

I have 'R' reassigned to a thumb button my my mouse, likewise my Shout to another thumb button. So whilst on horseback my thumb button did nothing and I assumed that was a bug. So I just tested again and found the same with dismounted as well. And then discovered that the 'R' key works fine.
So I went into Controls in the menu and, sure enough, it had reverted my key mappings.

I swear Bethesda don't do any testing whatsoever nor have any Quality Assurance. How they could miss basic stuff like that and also dragons flying backwards is completely beyond me. Witness the previous Steam update when they upgraded everyone, it broke, they backed it out, put it back in, out, shake it all about to the extent that SKSE had to have two versions available for a while. A total case of "it compiles; ship it". Pretty pathetic really.

Oh dear... I seem to be running out of things to do in Skyrim... I have now managed to get all 50 achievements (I did not enjoy the pickpocketing - the only part of the game that felt like a 'grind'), all the quest lines are done apart from a couple of glitched ones that are still in the list.

I am sure there are other mini side quests still to do but they don't really offer much of a challenge to a L57 character, and radiant quests start to get a bit repetitive.

I hope the DLC comes out soon, and that it offers something new.

PC or console?

If PC, look at this - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9782

New areas, new challenges, new creatures. It's big. The first area is a player hideout, just go beyond that and go through the door and you will enter a new world.

Install mod, start Skyrim. But immediately save and reload as per instruction.

Sadly it's on the Eggbox £3.60. I am green with envy of you PC gamers with all the mod options...

In fairness though, the entry price is way lower with the XBox plus you will be getting the DLC a whole 30 days before us, so it's swings & roundabouts really. smile

Am the same - got all the achievements (PS3) over the weekend, but it's been a struggle to enjoy it for the last 10-15 hours getting all the pickpocketing and doing the "restore Thieves Guild to its former glory" one. My character is a lvl 52 Nord and the game has lost any kind of challenge now I'm that powerful. May put it in occasionally to be impressed by how good it looks and attempting to increase magic or archery to add a bit more challenge, but the wonder of the early playing, wandering around and finding new places won't be replicated.

Except maybe by the DLC... Undecided so far whether I want to get it and lose another 180ish hours of my life!

The other half has tolerated my occasional playing over the past few weeks as I've assured her that I've "nearly finished" it. The last achievement I had to get was the "bounty of over 1000 in all 9 holds" one. She was pretty unimpressed when "completing the game" was me beheading a guard and then running away until nobody else was pursuing me and my 'trophy' notifications pinged up. I think she was expecting something a little more spectacular...!

Yes fair comment... This game has to be the best value entertainment ever - I have racked up around 300 hours, and in that time gone through a whole series of emotions.

On the subject of the OH tolerating the game, and the slight let-down of 'completing' the game, I had much the same thing from my OH. 'so what can you do with these points you are getting for the achievements?' she asked - 'well err, nothing, it's for the glory..' - 'so what's the point?' - 'err, err, the glory...'

I have also omitted to tell her about the 'get married' achievement... It was hard enough explaining away the 'housecarl' thing... Goodness knows how she would take me having an in-game 'wife' especially one that has taken to sleeping on the floor in the cellar of Proudspire Manor.

It looks very interesting, but seems to be in a state of flux at the moment (the latest update has some pretty huge changes) and also the quest stalled for me fairly early on so I'm going to back it out for now. But certainly one to keep an eye on.

The initial feel was very like the Honest Hearts and/or Lonesome Road DLCs for 'Fallout: New Vegas' inasmuch as you travel to a different place at the start of it.

Quest stall? You do have to make sure you complete conversations in this.

I played the latest version last night for a quick go, only got as far as the pirate airship arrival back at base camp before having to switch off.

Dawnguard downloaded last night - had a quick play. Will be interesting to see if it offers VFM/challenge especially as my char lvl is so high now.

I did the old "save, uninstall, reload, save, install, load" malarky and it was fine then.

I have to say this is really impressive. It's up to the standard of an official DLC - certainly up to the standard of Fo:NV's Honest Hearts anyway (which was admittedly rather lightweight).
