hehe

The list of potential pets is quite interesting, you are allowed armoured huskies, frostbite spiders, mudcrabs, skeevers, foxes and normal ones like dogs and rabbits.

I want a pet mudcrab...

It's been postponed referencing technical issues.

At least they were honest this time. smile

I'm a bad parent, gave my child an iron dagger, and now they are running around slashing at furniture...

They aren't very good at hide and seek either.

I've got Hearthfire as well. Went to Falkreath as the Lake View Manor looked nice and happened to have a bottle of black briar mead on me so did the Jarl an immediate favour (he wanted a bottle), he then asked me to clear out a mine of bandits. So I ran off out of town and a while later heard footsteps behind me, it was a courier. Must have been chasing me since I left Falkreath, he gave me a note from the Jarl saying I could buy land. He could have told me himself when I spoke to him hehe

If we see it at all. I'm not even bothering to check for updates. Which is a shame as Skyrim is possibly the best game - Half Life 2 the other contender - I've ever played.

You have to start Dawnguard and side with them.

Wiki said:
Crossbows are only available with the Dawnguard plug- in and any crossbow other than the default one can only be acquired by siding with the Dawnguard (see Ancient Technology for details. Crossbows all require bolts as ammunition instead of arrows. Crafting crossbows and
bolts is only possible at Gunmar's forge in Fort Dawnguard.
I think the basic ones might appear with some bandits after a certain level too.

Or to test them out first on a PC open the console and type: Help "crossbow" 0 get the id and then type: player.additem <id number> 1. Do same with: Help "bolt" 0, press page up to scroll through all bolt related items to find the crossbow bolts you want.

as I havnt played this in quite a while, i have forgotten something.

does the amount you can carry go up every level, or does it just go up when you choose something in the level up screen?

Only when you select to increase the stamina when you go up a level, in which case it goes up by 5, or when you use something with fortify carry weight, which varies.

ah right, cheers.

but I have another question, how long does it take for the npc's/shops to reset there gold amount, so i can sell more stuff to them.

trying to get 5000 gold to buy the plot of land to then build a house is a bit hard as i have got loads to sell, but they run out of money frown

48 in game hours. Just wait 2 full days, or travel from city to city. By the time you do a full loop, 2 days will have passed.

You can wait, do something else, or chop wood and sell it to someone also, couple of hours sat pressing the button, I use the wood pile outside the inn in whiterun.

Dragon bones and scales can be sold to the potion/ingredients sellers, not just the main merchants, same with mammoth tusks (Although keep one, there is a quest that uses one)

You can make dragon armour with it later on with better smithing which once improved earns a fair bit, and is lighter than Dedric, so it may be a good idea to keep some. (and weapons with dawnguard)

How far through the game are you?

Trouble is that Dragon Armour looks crap.
