Kiss goodbye to the next few days and the weekend.
Or in my case, kiss goodbye to the foreseeable future.

Getting out of Thalmor Embassy has taken me most of the week, I was about to restart the game. I was L10, so trying to sneak my way about as I wasn't strong enough to bring down a guard without attracting another or two.
After 2 days of sneaking about and sprinting between doors, and dying (a lot), I realised I only need to bring down one guard, steal his gear, and then I'd be a lot less squishy… </facepalm> Made it out eventually.

I've had a couple of comments regarding not looking well, which I'm assuming is early stages of Vampirism? Face has started to change, but I have yet to see messages regarding light aversion or anything like that.
As I've just made it to Morthal, do I need to complete the Thieves' Guild questline to get a blessing from the altar in the Ratways, or can I fight my way down there and click something?

You could have picked up a disease, potion of cure disease or blessing from any altar will cure it. If it's vamprism you can cure it the same way if you get it early, if not you can get a quest to cure it if you ask people (I think, never needed it). The guy who can help you if it is vamprism just happens to be in Morthal.

Thieves Guild starts by wandering over to the Riften market and listening to a sales pitch. You can go down anyway but then you have no actions when down there yet.

Bring up your invoentory and go to magic/shouts and select "active powers". If you've caught vamparism it'll be listed there. You have two days in game to cure it. Any cure disease potion should shift it, or you can visit a shrine (Talos shrine in Whiterun for exmple) and they will cure it (activate the shrine).

I found being a Vampire pretty poor, so always carry a cure around. Being a Werewolf is much better, complete the Companions quest in Whirerun to become one.

It is in the vanilla game but if you have it on a PC there are considerable improvements.

For anybody that hasn't got this, it is £2.49 in the Steam Summer Sale, which ends today.

Be quick.

"Become a member of the thieves guild"

I'm stuck on this now. I've cleared my list of other main quest items and this is the only one left at the moment. However, it will not show me where I need to go on the map to achieve this.

Any pointers?

Before very long, being a werewolf becomes completely useless as you get killed far too easily and have no ability to use stealth.

Can come in handy depending on your level and quests if you have a difficult assassination contract on someone who's always out in the open in a big city and your stealth skills are not good enough or you can always been seen by someone which fails the contract. Morph into a Werewolf kill the target (you won't get a bounty because you are a werewolf) and run as fast as you can for the exit and keep running out into the wilds to a safe place to hide until the pursuing guards call off the chase.

I have found that, however below level 10 or so it came in very handy for taking on things I couldn't manage.

as an elf I'm getting battered alot on side missions tbh and leveliing up on health and stamina.

this plays alot like kingdoms of amalur which so far has a better fight mechanism than skyrim imho - I keep missing my opponents with the two handed weapons and the single handed weapons look like i'm touching them up rather than fighting them.

I'm level 13 and have just got to the greybeards - have I been wasting my time?

can someone tell me where I can sell my jewwells and headbands and stuff? all the vendors I've visited don't have deep pockets...thanks.

The trafer at Riverwood usually has the most gold out of the traders. If you level up speech there is a perk you can choose that will allow you to invest in merchants. They will then have more money to buy things each time you visit. Also there is a perk so you can sell anything to any merchant

You can also marry the woman at the Riverwood trader, and therefore take some of the money the shop earns. So long as you've found their missing golden claw, you can get 100 gold coins per day. Just pop by everynow and again and collect your earnings.

I have been trying to find some decent custom armours, the problem is most of them seem to have been designed by 14 year old boys - she would freeze to death given how little they cover..

I married her once and moved her to my house in Whiterun. Pissed me off that she said "thank you so much for finding the claw" every time you return home.

People you marry will produce 100 gold a day so if you go off on a little adventure when you get back you have a pile of gold and you can buy and sell to her.

Yeah I looked at that, problem is I seem to be using the CBBE body mod, which means it's either high-def vanilla or such delightful things such as this:

When I am looking for something I click on the authors name and go to their profile and look at all their uploads as if they make one good thing they could have others. Have you seen these ones? - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/users/3676578/?tb=... some of the armours he has uploaded seem ok.

Something lightweight but fits in? - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/4708/?

If they aren't armoured enough then search for "armored rings" and "armored circlets" (remembering most people can't spell armour properly wink ) to make up any shortfall to allow you to use something lighter but maintain a higher armour rating.

Whats the point of using the CBBE body if you want an armour to completely cover the body. Why not use the standard body then there will be tons of armour mods.
