Been playing this for a while after my Uni mates got into it, I'm level 25 and usually not too bad providing we don't decide having a game at 2:30 when we get in after drinking is a great idea.

Name is Cheezymon on it.

I've played it for a while and have somehow been dragged up to lvl 21 even though I'm rubbish and can only really play one or two champions. I only really play it socially with a bunch of mates as it frustrates me that basically you have to learn everything about every character, what they're good/bad at and what they're usually going to build in order to have a decent chance.

Oh and I suck at calling missing during the laning phase.

Do I qualify? biggrin

Did a search and found this topic.

I was an avid viewer of Twitch and found lots of people were casting this. Decided to watch and got into it, so downloaded it and amazing the quality of the game for something which is essentially free.

Played 16 games, won all 16 so far and just unlocked Twisted Fate.

Anyone else play still?

I play this regularly.

"Big Tin" is the tag. Got to level 30 but still haven't participated in any ranked games.

Love playing Melee bruiser characters, Trynd/Pantheon/Aatrox. But most of the time ranged champions have a huge advantage.

I play a fair amount, level 30 and have even played competitive (not ranked but at a UK Tournament came 3rd for a cash prize)

Add Noodle Jesus my low level smurf I'm currently taking to 30 and if you see me on add me for a game smile

I must stress if you want a serious game and someone not to mess around type random jokes and rubbish then probably best you don't add me biggrin

Keep meaning to carry on playing ranked as normally I'm a pretty decent jungler and semi decent mid but only in Silver 4 at the moment.

NoMercy Fiera is the summoner name. I am normally annoyed with myself if I die more than 5 times in a game (unless it's an ARAM).

Added you both

Played a bit more at weekend. I seem to be good at last hits and always 'win' most minions slain but never really get any champ kills... Lots of assists!

When should I make the jump to PvP?

Probably as soon as you feel comfortable with a few champions. The most important things when first starting PVP are - always call when your lane is missing 'ss', and be wary of others NOT calling their lanes missing as they may be heading your way and then it's just a matter of winning your lane. You shouldn't rely on the jungler to win the lane for you, more that they are an asset to take advantage when the enemy is out of place or overextended. That's it really.

Thats my issue, on beginner vs AI I am fine. I can handle my lane and generally even win it 2v1, but this is AI. Humans obviously play different and wouldnt want to join a game and be reported because I am obviously still new!

Itll only get worse the longer you leave it. I never played vs AI, I just had a friend explain the basics to me in the tutorial and away we went PVP. In lower levels people do anything as they dont have champs and stuff. Later levels people expect you know how to play and use a jungler (dont get them early level games generally as its too hard without runes/masteries for it).

If you could just maybe practice 1 on 1 vs a real player it might help. Generally, PVP isnt going to be as aggressive as those bots which push really hard but if you make a mistake against someone good the lane could be over before you know it.

Im silver 1 support main. Hardly bother playing ranked though just play normals with friends most the time.

'Low' ELO PvP follow no rules really. People literally just go whoever they want and sometimes you don't even get a jungler. I've debated creating a smurf account just to have a go at the lower ranks again as a better player, just to see what it's like.

Its pretty horrible. The mix of toxic people, smurfs and genuine noobs is frustrating. I think if you could stick with it for a bit until it can find you a genuine sort of matchmaking level it might be ok.

You cant do PVP until lev 5 now so youd need to grind bots a few games. Only saw this as a guy wanted to play with us who is usually on the US server and we couldnt play with him on a brand new account. Luckily we had some low level accounts lying around to use.

Due to work not played much, but just had my 1st ranked game. If anything it was slightly easier than vs computers, people run away a lot more!

My 1st win!

I'll jump on my smurf acc and send an invite across when your on.

Ranked games come at level 30, the game you played is just classed as a 'normal', the builds from some of the players are horrible biggrin Least you've done yours correctly though!

Malz score with that tanky build and Corki 2 sets of boots made me laugh.

Ah, I just saw it said I need to play 5/10(?) games before it starts registering me with a league so assumed it was ranked?

To be honest, I don't have a clue what to buy/build. I mainly go for lifesteal (As I am too gung ho and this helps me stay alive!) and mana regen so I can gold card everyone as TF.

Is there a resource which items are best for each champ? Or is it dependant on lane and opponent? I haven't even looked at half the items, is it just trial and error?

AD TF with Spirit of the Ancient Golem isnt a great build imo. AD TF is just about viable if you have to play it but not ideal, and I cant see why youd get spirit of the Ancient Golem.

These would be more typical AP midlane TF builds:

Lichbane is pretty much a key item (generally first built after a couple of doran unless you need to rush hour glass)

OK I already posted a link to probuilds which will give you some idea if you average out the main page of each champion.

It will depend on your champion, matchup and role within a team.

General Build for an AD carry would be:

Attack Speed Boots/Phantom Dancer (PD) or Statik Shiv/ Blood Thirster / Last Whisper / Infinity Edge / Defense Item (GA/QSS most popular)

At the moment though Trinity Force is really strong so you see a rise in AD carries that can make use of it (ones that can spam spells and have AD and AP scaling) ie Corki/EZ rushing Trinitys.

AP Carry Sorc Boots / Rabadons / Void Staff / Zhonya or Abysal depending on lane and champ but you have quite a lot more options on AP champs.

It helps if someone on the team builds tanky and supports actually build to support but I feel I could end up typing all day here if im not careful.

Anyone trying to get up the league before the season end?

A week of forcing myself to play ranked rather just for fun with friends has taken me from Silver 3 (due to account decay) into Gold 5 which is where I wanted to get. Going to stop there though as I doubt Id play enough to get near Plat in 2 weeks.
