Wow just got battlefield 3 for PC after spending a bit of time with it on the Xbox.
On the Xbox I thought I was reasonably good with my kill count just above my death ratio, but moving over to PC and I suck! I think it took me about 30mins of play before I even got a kill, definitely going to have to put some major time into this
PS this is my first real online shooter for PC any tips would be appreciated, also if anybody fancies adding me online my origin name is the same as here

Who knew!  I just felt the need to do it because everyone was criticising it. They're not wrong. Actually, it isn't so bad if you enjoy firefights and a storyline.

My KDR was so bad I thought everyone but me was running some kind of hack program. Depending on the game, I can now get >1.0 KDR. Tip: don't stay still unless you're 100% sure you can't get knifed from behind. But even then, someone will do it eventually.

just finished another session on it. i still suck, but im getting it, the biggest problem is im not used to the controls.
Arsecakes i wasnt ignoring you, just wasnt sure how to chat back, i now know that its "J"

Arsecakes i wasnt ignoring you, just wasnt sure how to chat back, i now know that its "J" J to speak to everyone, K for team, and L for squad. You'll come to learn the controls eventually, I'm 500 hours in and I still occasionally f  k them up, and find myself bailing from aircraft mid flight by pressing "exit" instead of "reload" (thanks for putting those two right next to each other btw, Dice  ).

 Or going for your main weapon and entering Console mode. The number of times I've done that... PS I'm "hoofyhippo" on BF3.

My other favourite is trying to revive someone and eqipping everything except the defibs... Often it's a grenade, leading to the laughable situation of throwing a grenade at the person I'm trying to revive. Mad skillzzz.
