6 Months, with the option to extend it at some cost afterwards if needs be
Nice one. Could be very handy for getting several squads together from PH. Can you password protect certain slots etc?

Thats your problem I'm afraid. For console graphics quality at 720p resolution you need at least a 512mb 8800 GT according to DICE.

Not sure yet, might be something that comes out in a new server patch, i know there's still issues outstanding for example the one mentioned earlier about needing a minimum of 8 players to start

I'm playing it on an ATI 4870HD at the moment, it runs fine, on the lowest settings, which still looks pretty good.

That's what I thought too. Bugger it, I can't afford to upgrade at the moment. Maybe I'll just go get a PlayStation... but then I lose out on the mouse and keyboard, I just prefer the way things play on PC... hmmm what to do!

Can you not hook up a keyboard and mouse on the PS3? I thought they were quite flexible like that

Sitting in front of my pc now with my copy of BF3. Cant install it just now though because apparently the origin activation servers are down. Looks like the standard battlefield/EA problems with new the new release just like BFBC2. Still wasnt really expecting the game to work tonight, would be more shocked to come home and installed the game without problems.

Use this to change your Origin and therefore BF3 soldier name on PC:

Has anyone who's changed their Origin name managed to get the game up and running successfully? The reason I ask is, a friend is having a nightmare trying to connect as it appears his account is still tied to his old Origin name, despite changing (he now has two soldiers in Battlelog, one registered to his old name, and one under the new name). I think there's a problem with the activation code going by default to his original Origin name, which is now no longer active!

It's getting me worried as I've changed my Origin name (and can't even access Battlelog to check, without buying a copy) and don't fancy spending hours deciphering broken English at the hands of EA's support come midnight.

Installing now, although it keeps saying it's downloading not installing from disk. According to the internet Im not alone in this. Faffed around long enough, I'm just going to let it do its thing.

Tried the Origin name changer but Fubes is not available so it looks like Im stuck with Foobes rolleyes

Make sure you start the install by using the autorun on the disc rather than clicking the download link in origin, It will still say downloading but it will actually pull the files from the dvds.

Hope I wont have trouble installing a second copy on my daytime (:cough: work :coughsmile PC tomorrow whistle

ETA: It's just asked for disk 2 so it is loading from the disk, despite saying downloading smile

I think I might play through the single player campaign before I venture into multiplayer.

This!!

What a pain in the arse! Finally just completed installation on the 2nd attempt, first attempt was only reading from the disc at 1mb/s and quoted me a four hour install time.

Just got to finish the 470mb update, and pray there's no other hurdles to clear, then it's battle time!

I'm Kommander_Lulz on Battlelog if anyone's up for a game (if I ever get it running!)

not a great fan of teh web interface. I bought mine from Origin, and I finally activated the game, had a few games but there isn't a manual, and I don't know how to remap the keys frown.

Bed time now, but I won't be able to play the game for 4 weeks.
