Hi Guys,
just got the invite, cheers muchly
I've just stuck my Repsol Cosworth in the garage for your perusal - it started life just as a paint but i've just started trying to turn it into a drift machine, although it's work in progress, all feedback welcome, i know i'm missing some key logo's etc and have had to fudge a couple.
just thought i'd mention the tune though in case someone tried to take it out to set a time with it.. it wont work !
TTFN!
Not a bad paint, let me know which logos you want, I have most of the ones on your car.just got the invite, cheers muchly

The tune is 'interesting' very low geared, so would suggesting upping that a bit, its spinning up in 3rd, as for drifting it isnt too bad, but has a god awful habit of gripping and snatching back mid corner putting you straight into the armco.

can't say i've felt that snatch back mid corner, might be my questionable technique though! what's the general consensus on setting a car of to drift with regards to tyre compound? i wasnt sure whether lower grip stock or street tyres were best so as to aid getting the rear wheels to loose traction, or whether to go higher grip race or drag tyres to give more grip, would that give more control?
I was fiddling with the gears and felt during my initial tests that i needed to lower the early ratios as it felt like it wasn't giving enough oomph so i shortened the ratios... then i tweaked it a bit more but i think i've just ended up making it worse! think i'll try resetting them and start again.
Cheers for the comments on the paint too, it's a bit of a miss match of different versions of the livery, it seems that it changed subtly several times. Also, is it me or does the livery have different stripe colors on either side? some pics i've seen have it with an orange stripe, some with blue/green, likewise the front bumper.
This is the main image I used for reference...
this one a little also, mostly just for the number board though...
Have had another punt at creating a logo, all be it a simple one! so have knocked together a Pirelli... then i thought i'd try something a little more taxing so tried a Shell logo (not realising that there was one in the game already!! D'Oh!).
Then of course i figured i might as well put them on something so i have this evening knocked up a version of the 1986 Works Group-B RS200 as driven by the original Stig.... Stig Bomqvist

As always, feedback very welcome - have put it in the club garage if you want a closer look, although it is un-tuned at the mo... hope that's ok.
Cheers,
Jim.

Chances of an invite? I didn't get into the first club as I was too slow to put my name down and it filled up very quick (with people I didn't know)
I raced it the hot hatch championship with you guys last year (rothmans 944) and a few of the one night races. Can't really tune but can throw a decent paint together if I get the time.
I see a fair few of you are on my friends list already, hopefully racing you again soon Guys

I think the paint is quite a good start but the blue needs to be a fraction lighter.

Many thanks for the logo Carl, i've applied it to the car, made a few other adjustments, including the shade of the blue (ta C3james), here's the RS200 attempt 2... I've updated the club garage copy too.
Cheers,
Jim.
