Fortunately we fought the BBFC in the High Court and won, so eventually the proper red-blood humans returned.

Hmmmm, now then, I wonder if the developers purposely left a back door in the zombie version? Like..... Errrr.... Including all the red blood data and leaving a simple switch that any half-decent hacker could find....

There was a C function in the source named MakeTheFlagWavingbdWaveHisFlagWhichIsTheLastThingHeWillEverDo();

And the #define that turned on zombie mode was called MICHAEL_HOWARD_IS_A_C...NT (for he was Home Secretary at the time, and had personally called for the ban).

When it got hacked back to blood so quickly, we had to tut, shake our heads and say "Wow, I wonder how they did that then?", then quickly look at our feet. Of course SCi were very happy to not investigate further! There was quite a lot of mutual winking going on.

Approx two weeks. The game is finished on iPhone and iPad (and iPod Touch), and is currently going through Apple's submission process.

We're loathe to make any big changes as we really want to get on with Carnageddon:Reincarnation.

But... funnily enough, a change I made very late in the testing process was for repairing to target the worse hit areas first. So if you've got a black smoking engine, this gets repaired first. It made quite a difference.

Other than this sort of tweak though, we want to avoid the temptation to change it too much. We've got a fully-fledged Xbox/PS3/PC/Mac/Linux game to write!

Frustrating as this morning I was on Fridge Racer and got an awesome final wastage. (We were down near the bit with all the depth charges/mines near the big wall, and my opponent, whom I'd been chasing, hit one of these and flew up on the air towards the wall, I hit one too and it span me 180'. The oppenent struck the wall just as I struck him with the rear of my car, all this halfway up the wall! It was like a handbrake turn slamming him with the wall, except we were all flying. It was amazing!
Yes, you're right about the final wastage thing. We tried to fix this, but it introduced so many bugs, we had to backtrack. I promise it'll be fixed in Reincarnation!

Have you passed this through our support channels on Carmageddon.com? I don't recall this being a known issue, but it's far from impossible. I've got no friends, so nobody ever phones me whilst I'm playing it....

Correct. And you should see what I've already got prototyped and working for Carmageddon:Reincarnation. Loads and loads more physics-based stupid powerups. REALLY stupid powerups...

Yes, because we use the iCloud for our saves, we're a bit at Apple's mercy when it comes to bad connections. Not a lot we can do about it really - but you do at least get it back once your connection returns.

The other save game eating issue was a genuine bug in our code which we fixed with the patch.

It's coming, honest! Just much more complicated as a) It's our first Android development and b) there are so many devices you have to support.

Might just make it before the end of the year. If not then very early next year.

Changing it for an even madder AMG ML63. Turning up in about a month. Already arranged to be tuned by DMS to about 620bhp and 700lb.ft of torque! And it weighs quite a bit less...
