sounds awesome. if i get 5 mins tonight il look for the install vid on youtube and go from there. spent a few hours on that "urban wars" clan server which was pitch black but geared up pretty well and hid under a tree before logging. IrJesoos plays there as well. Really liking the map though.
I haven't logged into clanforge for bloody ages now either so god knows how it got switched off. I was using DarT to kick/ban players when playing on our server as it was a lot quicker to do and didn't need to be logged into clanforge. Need to get a server we can settle on properly and get squared away as we jump between maps/servers too much at the moment but with hackers etc it don't help lol

Well - after four hours I'm still no closer to getting a game on the ACEz. Managed to get everything sorted but still getting the odd 'missing' file but seems to let me in but it's pitch black. Nothing. not even a trace of light with gamma & brightness all the way up.
Tried to move around but seemed to start swimming - managed to do a blind 180, back on land and logged - nothing I can do. Been rather a waste of time.

Do I need to drop the z off those folders or add the z to the bat file?

drop the z suffixed files into the AO file - don't worry about the others.)

jsrs files are another addon that improves ts integration so you can hear people talking in surround I think - don't worry about it - its not vital.
Jars is an advanced sound mod for arma. Not required if you don't want.
S8 if you got the full install you need to extract it then with something like 7zip. All the files that extract place into your OA directory. Then make sure you download the hot fix (1.4.3) too and copy that over the old somcZ folder.
After that I just made sure the latest beta was installed (check how on YouTube) then download the 'launchsomcZ.bat' from the same place you got the other files. Place that in the OA directory too the. Use that to execute arma. Then just search in multiplayer for hard corps survival ops etc. that's it then it should work.
Asterix, might be worth you deleting your old ace files and just doing the full install as above.

I've managed to get in game now. I have the icons for health, blood etc... and can open the gear menu - it's just pitch black. I know they said it was going to be dark but there is nothing even with gamma and brightness full up.I'll just have to wait until tomorrow.

k that - I've had enough of fking around with files for the time being.well that survival ops is a hell of a ball bag to get running!!! gave up after an hour but that chap on TS last night set it all up for me over teamviewer in 20 mins!!! (Thanks again Dannerz appreciate it!)
Lasted all of 15 minutes then got killed in cherno before logging for the night. It literally is paramount you get a primary weapon from the off though as the stamina thing is a pain in the ass!!! 1 think i really like is the street lighting thing. Looks superb when your on a hillside in the pitch black looking into a town. Hope to get some more time in later on!
Oh and to top it off i got offered the job i applied for in taunton so will be moving soon hopefully!! (provdided i get myself in check)

I got map, compass, knife, alice pack, pistol, Lee En, then AKM, food, drink, bodybag (?!?!), Rock star outfit then changed to nice jacket outfit then went to check 2 industrials before logging for the night.

Log back in got NOTHING!!!!
Seems if you are logged in while a server reboots you can lose all your st (except skin).
Picked up new AKM, logged out.
So make sure you log out at least 5 mins before they say a server restart will happen.

FYI - Hard Corps have changed the password but it hasn't been posted up for security reasons.
