It's a bit bonkers!
I spent ages trying to hunt down a push bike where I thought there should be one. Then got shot.
Repeat several times over!
My shoulders and neck are now killing because I've been sat so tense for so long!
I'v just started on it too, so we should team up if your still on!I spent ages trying to hunt down a push bike where I thought there should be one. Then got shot.

I have a friend I'v been on with but he keeps getting Ping issues and gets booted off.
Definitely need a wingman on this though, I keep getting myself some really good gear and guns and always do something stupid and get killed!

Have you got Teamspeak installed? I think it would be difficult without voice chat.

Yeah I'd love to team up! Since we had a baby 4 weeks ago I've not even turned the PC on though but

Even more of an excuse just to sit up on Dayz all night, whilst looking after the baby! hahaHave you got Teamspeak installed? I think it would be difficult without voice chat.
I can get it, I've used it in the past but Skype is easier if you have that?
I was just moaning how the only car I've found is one I jacked off a guy who went to loot a firestation last night.
I just went on a jog through the forests half way across the map.
First I come across a brand new little bird heli, somehow already entangled in trees. As soon as i started it everything broke :/
Then a few minutes later I find a fully working pickup with 3 very rare machine guns, absolutely boat loads of ammo and extra car parts.
Whilst looking for a stash spot for this car I find a fully working SUV loaded with more gear and car parts.
Think I'm doing well!! (And also think I've just ruined somebodies Dayz life on this server).

So what's the best combination for this? Arma 2 and origins or Arma 3 and what ever the mod is. I have been watching Frankies videos on youtube and they are excellent. Just need a rig that will play it
Hey buddy you need arma 2 and the expansion pack, as a pack they are about £16.99 on steam. Dayz itself is free. You can download the mod on its own but your better off downloading "play withSIX" which will download Dayz for you and also all the servers so you don't have to look for them individually.
I was about to buy a decent £730 tower from Scan the other day but popped into PC world and ended up buying a cheaper HP PC there. It runs Dayz fine on mid range. (My mate has just built a £1200 PC and he can run it flawlessly on high/ultra and it does look amazing!)
I cheaped out because I'm buying an Xbox One and only really switched from Imac to PC for Dayz and maybe a few upcoming games!
This is what I got > http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/desktop-pc-monitors/...
I'm not a PC expert but for the price it seems a good buy.

I do not wish to come across rude but what on earth were you doing buying from PC world?
As a comparison I have spec'd a PC on DinoPC like for like or improved where possible for £497.
HP Pavilion:
CPU : Intel I5 - 3350P - Passmark rating : 6223 Passmark rank : 137
GPU : GeForce GT 630 - Passmark rating : 722 Passmark rank: 202
DinoPC:
CPU: AMD X6 6300 - Passmark rating : 6383 Passmark rank: 129
GPU: GeForce GT 640 - Passmark rating : 1290 Passmark rank : 107
So as you can see, quite a lot more PC for 10% less
I apologise for being a bit of an arse as you most likely did not know better.

I would never have built my own though anyway, I was looking at pre-builds. And all AMD builds are cheaper to equivalent Intel builds, but most people I asked told me to get Intel instead of AMD.I do not wish to come across rude but what on earth were you doing buying from PC world?

On the pre-builds I was looking at the only ones close to £550 are for I3 dual core processor but with a better graphics card than mine. (http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ShowSystem.asp?SystemID=1658).
Also the shop gaming build PC's come in massive cases and I don't really have room for it!

This was a prebuild from DinoPC, I just felt with someone previously posting about what PC to buy, I would post this to show what else is available, they also offer intels but that was just a quick one that stood out. For the record, I'm so crap at this game I'd probably miss if I tried to shoot you.

Did you get on with your upgrade? I'm still very happy with my set up. Perhaps a couple of new monitors would be nice but they're fekin' expensive.
The only upgrade I have done on my PC over the last 3 years was going from 4GB of 1600 to 8GB of 1600. One day I will upgrade to a new one, looking at those mineral oil cases which make your PC look like a fish tank (http://www.pugetsystems.com/submerged.php)
ETA: Does anyone know of a decent DayZ server? I was looking last night and only seemed to find servers where you start with guns, or they have 600 vehicles.

Yeah - me too - as long as it was a clean start.
BTW - When is the standalone due?
Checked the Dev blog yesterday and its still a long way off and it appears they are slowly ruining what DayZ currently is, they are reworking everything about the weapons and I think the quote from Rocket was "We have our artists working on NEW weapons" which can only mean they are planning guns based on imagination? I certainly hope that isnt the case.BTW - When is the standalone due?
