I've been playing this off and on; teamed up with a mate one time. After neing stalked by a fellow survivor, we set a trap for him and in the ensuing fire fight took him down. however I was badly wounded, and the last thing I saw were the zombies closing in under flare-light as my mate desperately tried to fight them off.
I'm now packing an M16A4 w/ ACOG, CZ550 and M1911 with plenty of ammo for all. GPS, all tools, food, water. Basically set up for a good stint. Now I think I need to move onto getting myself a tent to start putting my crap into!
All still playing and getting on OK? Much enter fun in a group hunting other players up North. Better gear, more rewards. Great fun!

Whoa where d'you get all the weapons?? Airfield??All still playing and getting on OK? Much enter fun in a group hunting other players up North. Better gear, more rewards. Great fun!
Me and two others went on a run around one of the western towns and ten came across a few guys. They were heading south so must of hit the NW Airfield before and were on their way out.
My other guys already had M4's and one with the silenced version. Fortunately, one of our guys with a Barrett also had over watch which soon st them up when they went down.

I'm still playing a bit and this game is much, much harder with the latest updates (using v1.7.1.5). Seems like every other hit from a zombie means broken bones, morphine is nowhere to be found outside of hospitals, audibility has gone up, and now you get no starter weapon. Pretty brutal for new players.
btw: yes it's free but you need you need ArmA II: CO (both Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead)

The zombies have been dialled back a bit with the latest patch, so they no longer have superman like hearing and vision which makes them a bit less of a pain. You can also break their aggro by making them lose sight of you - running up hill causes them to slow, and if you dive behind a tree and go prone they often don't realise where you have gone. It's still easy to become overwhelmed if you make a lot of noise though.
The group I play with now have a nice little camp set up in an out the way area, with tents and medical supplies and an 8-seat land rover for longer ranged trips into towns. Earlier one of the others saw another survivor arrive in a 50 seat bus, and promptly get swarmed by zombies so now we have a second vehicle to roam around in.
Silenced weapons are massively useful - an MP5SD lets you knock down zombies with a single headshot without causing any aggro from the others, so you can get in and out without bringing every player and zombie around on top of you.

130R, you still got the DMR from the screenshot earlier? My group have now got all rifles, some snipers, around 100 cooked meat in total, 3 vehicles and we are now working on medical supplies from hospitals and getting more gear from around NWAF/Stary.
Would be good to get involved if you play often. I play on server UK 22 as mentioned before. Copy that exactly to search, including the space.

No that character is dead now, so I don't have a thing at the moment. I did get up to about 130 zombies killed and 4 murders (at least 3 were self defense ..). I see people with over 1000 zombies killed which is crazy.
I really don't like that side channel is gone, I'm going to wait and see what happens (radios?) but without the chat unfortunately it's a bit pointless for me to team up with anyone because I don't use a headset (although I might have to buy one now).
