Total DOMINATION until Rush on Karg. I got kicked on the third set of M-COMs. Such a shame. How the feck did we not hold that beach?

There was a bit of carnage behind one of the portacabins on the Damavan Peak game last night - there were about 5 from each side all bumbling around trying to kill each other in the space of a phonebox! I empited my G3A3, missed everyone, then got out my my pistol and again missed everyone and so had to revert to some frantic knife action.

Luckily I got the last guy with my knife, but I was getting desperate and seriously considering chucking my med pack at him to try and score a lucky headshot! laugh

I'm interested to know what the general thoughts are about pinning an enemy back into their spawn area?
This happened a couple of times to the enemy team on the PH server yesterday evening and although I didn't feel comfortable with the tactic the only alternative would be to sit back from the action, do nothing and wait in case the opposing team breaks out?

Christ. What time did that finish? I expected it to be over quite quick with the Chopper and A10 wes in full effect.

It's not good when it happens to you and it's a sure way to kill a server by having people leave in droves mid-game, but like you say, what else are you supposed to do?

Some of the maps are specifically designed to result in a strong team being able to pin a weak team in their base too, as they deliberately don't have any spawn points on the land part of the map for one side (Nosahir Canals, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman).

It just adds a different dimension to the game IMO, instead of having to try to capture objectives, you've got to try to break out of the blockade.

Agree we should have held the beachhead. We started off strong but maybe got a bit complacent and took our eye off the last remaining M-Com whilst we were out causing havoc along the shore. Still a great round, turned into a real battle, lasted an hour and a half!!

That's my take on it too. Only thing that really fks me off in that position is when the winning team's air vehicles are over my base. I feel that in that scenario you should stay within the area a ground trooper is allowed...

As for people leaving in droves - fk em. With the caveat around air support, if they've gotten into that position and can't be arsed to try to break out, then they're mereally stat glory hunters...

I do think air defenses around bases should be beefed up, it's too easy at the moment for jet pilots to strafe vehicles sitting on the ground in the base. There need to be at least two AA guns per base and they need to be more powerful at taking out aircraft.

Saying that, my KD went from 1.52 to 1.55 in the space of 4 rounds last night. All while PTFOing as well.

Yep, I'll be on from around 6pm. I'm hoping to make progress on my last few medals, so if anyone wants to help out (Javelin Squad, Squad Death Matches, etc.) I'd be most grateful:

- 250 Lasar designate assists
- 45 Squad Death Match wins
- 296 Mortar kills
- 10 MCOM attacker ribbons

I'd be up for some sqdm to get that objective? Think I can negotiate with the missus to be on about 8...

Everyone happy to switch the mode rotation for an evening?

SQDM is tough though - you need top players these days to win.

I did put on the other BF3 thread how strong we were last night - I have no probs reaching the enemy spawn area in fact I killed two vehicles at once at one point. they shoul dplay better, hell its been done to me a few times.

we did mulla them though on davamand..carnage...apols for my poor playing last chaps i was running round killing ppl with an rpg for the B2K guns unlocks...

i pwomise to do better next time.

at one point we had 8/9 PHers as team members hehe

The only one I can argue against is nosehair canels, if you don't take the choppers out on the carrier then you get pounded by the two choppers who 99% of the time go and sit at your spawn waiting for the chopper to appear. Anyway there are no rules in war!!!!

Last night had me in tears a few time, great fun.
