The 429 is a slightly-encrypted code they use to indicate how urgently to deliver.

Going by the alphabetical position, 429 translates to DBI.

Delivery By Indifference.

In other words, 'in your own time'. Expect it in October.

I wonder if Amazon process first the orders that have been in place the longest. I didn't pre order until the 2nd of September and I'm still down as not yet dispatched

I foresee a few temper tantrums when the "Waaaaa I ordered mine ages ago" lot are still waiting while those that have only ordered in the last week or so get theirs first.

Had an email from simplygames stating that they, just like every other retailer in UK/EU will be taking payment and despatching my order on Monday.

Just wondering if I should cancel it and order with shopto or hang fire and see what happens..

It's pointless cancelling and re-ordering from somewhere else this close to release date just to try and get it a day early or whatever, you'll just end up causing yourselves more grief. If you've ordered it already you'll get it sometime either Monday or Tuesday, as it's not released until Tuesday that to me is a bonus.

Don't think so. It doesn't matter, they get enough copies in to fill pre orders and their store anyway. Even if any are posted by any retailer yesterday or today they can request the courier keep hold of it. People might get it on Monday but highly doubtful to be before that.
