Depths of the ocean? I must know more!
You could swim underwater to collect things in San Andreas so that's not exactly new for them. I just hope that there are enough subgames and things to play with long after the main story is finished and 100% has been reached. San Andreas was great that way. It needs lots of cars, lots of planes, helicopters, bikes challenges, mini-games etc. The main story is but a small part of these games.P-Jay said:
My son (7) plays GTA IV with me nowandagain. He's not allowed the sound up, or any guns - he still loves it.
When I was younger and my dad had "The Getaway" on PS2 and I used to cruise around, just driving. Every time my mum came near the games room I had to quickly turn it over to the TV so she wouldn't know Wwwoooooooo can't wait ! Hopefully release a new trailer and some new pics soon !!
Great news! Hopefully there'll be more of the silliness that was missing from GTA4. So many to mention; the Ice Cream Trucks having the ice cream sculpture on the top look like a cock and balls, or tits on VC, the ice cream company itself being called Cherry Popper, lots of sexual innuendos that as a young, innocent 12 year old kid I didn't quite understand.
Glad to see there are people in the same boat as me; my mum hated the fact I played GTA. I remember when San Andreas came out, I'd have been about 14, we were just moving house, and so I didn't get it on release day like all my mates did. It just so happened that night on the TV, the news did a feature on how you could bang hookers then murder them, and basically massacre millions of innocent people. In my mum's eyes, that was it, I wasn't to buy another GTA game ever. My dad on the other hand, came home with a copy for me the next day

Here's hoping. They're supposed to fully confirm on November 8th the release date. Also, throughout november they're supposed to give us a wealth of info about it.TomN94 said:
Notice the logo on the "iFruitPhone" ?
Yeah, did think it looked pretty suspect/funny. I'll be very happy if all the silliness comes back, as this will be the first GTA game I'll be able to buy without parental assistance (GTA4 came out when i was 17, almost there but not quite), and I'll actually be able to understand all the jokes this time.Strangely Brown said:

I completely forgot about that ability in SA.I was 13 or 14 when the first GTA game released and unsuprisingly neither 'Our Price' (remember them?!) or Electronics Botique would sell it to me unless I was accompanied by an adult.
I went home, asked my sister to accompany me to the shops and bought it. The only useful thing she has ever done!

I think I was 15, managed to convince my Dad to buy it for me on the promise that I study for my GCSEs. He used to enjoy standing in the doorway watching me mow down parades of Hare Krishnas (Gouranga!) and generally cause mayhem.I went home, asked my sister to accompany me to the shops and bought it. I bought it for the PS1 but soon bought it on PC so as I could play with a friend online. After that I bought practically every game in the series aside from the handheld games.
Same as you though, my Dad used to regularly stand in the door way watching me snipe people's heads off in GTA3. Also loved to watch me playing Knockout Kings.

I completely forgot about that ability in SA.Need to be mindful of marketing BS with this though, I remeber them saying the map in IV was so vast it could take a hour to drive from one side of the city to the other, the concept blew my mind until I saw the in-game clock gains about an hour every 90 seconds.

It seriously could take an hour to drive the whole way if you kept to the traffic laws. Apparently this guy was the first ever person to pre-order the game, and rockstar gave him this.
