This thread inspired me to start up GTA 4 - The Ballad of Gay Tony.

It is, IMO, what GTA4 should have been the first time round - much more like the style of the older GTAs, so well worth a go for anyone who didn't get on with the normal GTA 4.

I only played a bit of Ballad, but from what I gathered it was more like the old ones.

I'll get it once I get 'round to completing GTA 4.

I might buy BOGT now, I have never played it at all or read up on it. But I didn't really like the GTA4 story and people on here have only said good things about BOGT, so I feel like it is worth a shot.

To get you excited.... expect far more crazy helicopter missions (think military with unlimited missiles and machine gun), more common supercars, skydiving, cooler guns (exploding shotgun shells), better characters (Gay Tony and Yusuf), underground fight clubs, being a bouncer at a club, etc. Loads of reasons it's better than IV!

Another bonus for getting TBOGT is online you get even more new cars than the single player and the Blackhawks have exploding rounds too. Unlimited parachutes, like everyone has said it's what the regular GTA IV should have been.

On a side note many of you on Xbox? Wondering if worth getting live again...

I am. Couple of others on this thread are too.
Would be good to have a GTA4 bash, I spend most my time on live being crashed into by French people on Forza. -sigh-

Completed TLATD easily, didn't take anywhere near as long as the others.

I do like the way all of the stories are linked together in the missions.

But, I am LOVING Saints Row, it's just a non-stop killathon!!

I was bored of SR3 really quickly, I know its a daft game, I loved SR2, clocked an unreal amount of hours on that, but SR3 just never did it for me...I should really give it another go.

But I have been playing GTA IV more lately, those bloody street preachers get on my nerves, so I make it my mission to kill as many as possible!

I remember bursting out with laughter during a police chase when one of them suddenly got flattened by the burning remains of a police helicopter. biggrin

There is always one outside the second safehouse after you have saved the game.

Gets a knife to the face. Everytime.
