That Sraz is pretty epic, not as easy to drive as the Kamaz, but way more powerful over the rough stuff. In the Kamaz you have to avoid the trees, in the Sraz you just need a bit of momentum to drive through them.

Beta's a bit buggy, but it's a good demo of the model.

It is rather enjoyable killing the trees biggrin
I'm hoping they get a Land Rover or two in this.

It has great modding potential for the future. I've already created Xenon(ish) spot lights from the red ones.

How did you manage that then? Could use a bit more light when I'm reversing up the river!

Or if you can figure out how the Kraz's balloon tyres on the Kamaz…

[EDIT]Hang on , all the models are in XML? This could be more straightforward than I thought…
Time for some copy and pasting…

For the lights it's pretty much copy and paste a few files and change a few lines in the .xml.
It's surprisingly straight forward when you get going.

I've managed to copy over the textures from the Kraz to the Kamaz, now I need to change the dimensions…

Adding Steer="-1" to the last wheels gives you rear wheel steering biggrin

You can evacuate it back to the garage, hit F1 it's at the bottom of the map screen.

Good work on the rear steer, Stew, I just figured out hot toe swap the wheels, I wasn't looking at the kamaz_vehicle file, and all the fun stuff is there it seems! You can tweak the gearbox and engines settings too!

Change TorqueRatio to .15 or .2 on the front wheels to make it 6x6 when you lock the diffs.

Indeed. with that extra power to the front wheels, it goes everywhere.

Need to figure out how to get the covered platform for the Kamaz, in the meantime, here's a cheeky DDS hack…

I've managed to turn two of the rear worklights to white…

EDIT: One More, here's how it looks now!

Cracking little sandbox this, managed to get 6 wheel drive and 6 wheel steering (just use half the value on the middle wheels, seems to behave nicely.)

Almost unstoppable now!

It is great fun even when you have found all the packages.

Loving this, appeals to me in the same way rigs of rods does (Check it out if you don't know about it.)

I may be doing something very wrong but my Kamaz is SLOW, seems to top out at about 30mph on the road, and drops itself in to first for sticky stuff and does like 4mph.

I suggest try again. It took me a few attempts to download it properly.

It downloaded ok but it runs slower than a very slow thing on my laptop (i5 2.4ghz with 6gb of ram and a GeForce520m graphics card) seem to get about 2fps
