Ended up getting it as a birthday present. What started off being good became rather annoying. Got a truck stuck so got out. Got pinned in a little group of rocks but as you cannot free jump I was stuck and had to load from checkpoint. Then I did some library thing and my controls went nuts! I could not holster my weapon, I could not jump and who system went weird! Turned it off and put Forza back on.
Bastion is £1.64 on Steam at the moment. Wonderful little game, isometric 3D RPG type thing but with great music and clever dynamic voice over/narrator that describes what you are doing
"The kid fell to his death"
I'm only an hour in but loving it. Even if I get bored in a few hours it's good value for money.

I played it a bit longer last night after posting and it has grown on me a bit more.
Although I Still find the driving physics are nothing like driving a real car, I'm amazed it didn't come up in play testing. They're driveable but it's not a game where it's much fun to drive around for the sake of it. It seems to have a bit of a bug with the camera, in that occasionally it seems to get stuck looking the wrong way. Eventually it seems to free up but it seems to happen in really awkward moments such as when the police are chasing you! Not sure if it's me but the police AI is a bit strange. Sometimes they seem to see you from miles off and other times they seem to lose you when you're a few metres away.
Being positive, it's quite fun in car chases to set traffic bollards and lights off and I've found you can flip cars on the bollards if you time it right.

It's interesting the Professional critics have given it 80%+ the fans are giving it a major kicking 50-60%. That's across all platforms as well. There is usually something wrong when the two scores are so far apart.
That's because most "Professionals" are bribed, paid or influenced in their reviews. Very few actual professional and unbiased. It's a bit of a performance just to download it for free with a new Nvidia card. You get a code on a bit of paper. Then you enter that at Nvidia, then that gives you another code that you enter when you check out. That gives you yet another code !! Then you have to download the Uplay thing but at least it does not bother to ask for the final code. So now it's downloading.

I'm really rather disappointed by these reviews, I was planning on getting a PS4 for this game, but now I won't bother
I wouldn't buy a PS4 for it. In fact, I'd say that AC4 is a better reason to buy a PS4 than Watchdogs, however both feel like current gen games up scaled to next gen. The lighting in Watchdogs is very pretty, but visually there is something about it that looks very PS3/Xbox 360. Dare2Fail said:

I have about 80 hours on AC4 and I am only about half way through it I guess. Fantastic game. But I personally feel that a PS4 is about a year or two undercooked. The PC has my gaming needs covered for a while.
I'm enjoying it so far, just been exploring and trying a few things.
Some of the graphics are superb, especially the wet weather effects, they do require a bit of horsepower though. I will try to post a few screenshots later.
There's a good guide for tweaking the graphics for PC users here...

I was going to wait until my new TV arrives to fire up this game but, I was getting a bit worried after reading this thread so had a quick go on it last night. Only spent about an hour playing at most but, it seems pretty good so far. It all looks very pretty (and thats on a 720P TV) so, looking forward to spending more time on it when the new telly arrives.
