I'm 19 born in late 1992, but when growing up my dad bought me every season review from 1990 onwards and I watched them all the time. I would have to say my personal favourite is Jon Cleland. His "attitude" was brilliant, and he only lived down the road from my grandparents! Something I only found out a few years ago.
I feel the series has a lot to explain for me wanting some crappy old volvo s40, or a primera, even a laguna! Or an accord....
Anyone remember the two Toyotas( I think ) taking each other off at oulton?
Oh, and just for info, my GT is Echo Cobra. Anyone add me if you want in on this.
Hell yeah, great action. The Toyotas were involved with eachother quite a few times, Hoy taking out Rouse in 1992 on the run up to Dingledell on the Brands Hatch GP circuit, and in 1993 at the British GP support race Will Hoy got tipped over by team mate Julien Bailey. I have watched pretty much all the season reviews on YouTube, such great racing and with all the different manufacturers competing too, IMO alongside the 1960s/1970s, the best age of touring car racing.. I feel the series has a lot to explain for me wanting some crappy old volvo s40, or a primera, even a laguna! Or an accord....

Alright guys, been doing some testing and I think I'm getting there.
As it stands now:
AWD PI up to 555
FWD PI up to 550
RWD PI up to 535
No Adjustable aero.
Standard size drag tyres with Oz superturismo.
No engine/drivetrain swaps. I'd rather you kept stock aspiration too.
Anything else is pretty much fine. I think lower weight is going to be key as it will be easier on the tyres.
I would prefer a race paint, BTCC replicas would be chuffing great but whatever you want really.
I've tried a few cars in all of these, and they all seem to be within 1 to 1.5 seconds of each other round mugello full. For reference I am doing about 2.07.5s without any setting up.
Not going to do points for fastest lap, as good as it would be it would be really difficult to do as someone MIT set a fast dirty lap because they are being drafted but then it wouldn't count and so on. You will still get a point for leading a full lap.
One pit stop at least. Can make as many as you want but has to be before the last lap.
Damage is full, but there is no aero to ruin your race when it falls off.
ABS will be allowed, but TCS & STM will be off, to make you look after the tyres.
Races will be around 25/30 minutes, however many laps are needed for that.
Thoughts?
