I take it Chris Slade has been doing passenger laps, which circuit did he take you round GW?

It's funny, me and Chris started racing Minis at the same time.

Our first time out was at the opening round of the 2010 Mighty Mini championship at Cadwell Park. I hadn't tested the car I'd bought some 6 months earlier so my first go in it was during quali, it was an interesting few laps.

I think I qualified about 15th, two places behind Chris. We'd changed the setup for the race and a soon as I got going the car felt fantastic. I passed a few cars during the first couple of laps then came up behind Chris entering the Gooseneck. He hesitated for a second and I nipped passed just before the drop.

It was a fantastic first race, I'll never forget it. Didn't think 11th was bad for my first go.

Me and Chris had some great battles during the 2010 season, I just managed to pip him to second place in the novice championship.

He's a lot quicker now than he was in 2010, I watched him win at Thruxton in 2011 from last place, never seen a Mini driven so well before.

Did he take you out in his Super? It's my old Mini Sprite I sold to him.

Here's an in car video showing me and Chris racing at Cadwell (I got a really bad start!). I'm the yellow Mini, Chris is the blue Mini just ahead of me.

Was a great year smile
It was around Castle Combe, he certainly wasn't hanging about. I've been in 3 or 4 others previously and he was definitely the most committed!.

Yes, he took me out in his Super.

Very, very quick car yes.

Great vid thumbup.

That's a great video Flip, looks like loads of fun. Really sweet track, well suited for racing mini's.

Had a few laps last night with this weeks combo and I really like.. Havent tried the hards yet but it sweet on the mediums. It helps I love the track. Although it does require some throttle control, just as well your not racing Norbs this week...

I did 2 laps of practice yesterday and it was mayhem... it may have influenced my decision slightly!

That's awesome stuff flip! I am so much more a fan of this sort of racing, I don't think there is much better for pure excitement I've had so much joy watching unbelievably competitive & exciting racing.

I remember you were going to sell it but didn't know if you had or not.

Any plans on going racing again in the future?.

Chaps, looking at moving my broadband supplier. Any idea on how much data allowance I would need to support on line gaming? 10GB a month? 40GB? Or more?

I'm with plusnet on a 10GB a month package, according to their usage summary I manage about 3GB a month on gaming. This doesnt include any downloads/updates as I do them at night time when there is no limit to the download amount.

Gaming uses bugger all bandwidth,.

On a side note I have just been upgraded (and my price dropped) by plusnet, now running 63mbps download and 17mbps upload biggrin

Wow Flip, your track is an ahole! The off-camber bits at the end of the lap are the gayest thing since GW.

Strange.

I thought big humps and loose back ends were right up your street.

I think that last left hander bunny hop is fab, as is the one further back up the hill.

You're just pissed because you've got to practice this week.

Ignore him flip, he is a bit grumpy this week as his arse is sore from the bleaching on Sunday! hehe
