Could do with a better warning before it lets you spend it though.
Totally agree. yes

I got mine for pre-ordering the game on Steam. Had I known just how special it was, I would have waited until I'd levelled up a bit before spending it.

Anyone level 18-22ish about tonight to give me a hand with a certain elemental birdie?

Think I have been skimping on side missions and I'm a bit underpowered - 1 hit, gunzerk to get hp back and I get hit again = dead. Can deal with the first forms, but the corrosive one is too much, as my current uber gun is a corrosive shotty - even twin elemental SMGs don't make a dent...

Interesting. This is an aspect I never explored on the first game. scratchchin

Not tonight, as I have been playing it pretty much all day and I need a break now. But definitely another night.

(Level 18 Commando, btw)

There was a decent IGN podcast a few weeks ago with this guy (think it was a "Game Scoop" podcast) - worth a listen to hear about the developers process

Finally did it, amazing the difference 1 extra level makes.

Also did the "shoot this guy in the head" mission, that one raised a smile smile

I think I'm starting to develop an unhealthy love for the 'little lady' and have so far spent a majority of my skill tree points on her.

The turret does seriously rock though. smile

"Say hello to the missus...."

Mate I'd drop the laser sight (or leave one point in it and drop the rest into Willing instead.. Gives you better shield regen.

I'm lvl 19 now and have
1 preparation - to regen health when not fighting
5 in Sentry (also have a class mod that adds +2 to sentry so at 7 now smile)
5 in Willing
1 in Scorched Earth
1 in Able - health regen when you kill someone
1 in Onslaught

I'm a turret we. Might go for Gemini with the remainder of the points

Well, I really wanted the rockets (they kick arse!) and building up the accuracy (the 5 laser sight points) was a way to get to it.
It's working ok for me at the moment so I will probably stay with it for now.

1 in laser and 4 in willing will give access to rockets as well - although I haven't tried the laser sight though. Will try..

I figured that firepower is nothing without accuracy. And my turret with all 5 accuracy points and the rockets is absolutely devastating. It is a sight of pure joy to behold. hehe

Well I completed the storyline missions in the early hours of this morning with a level 32 assassin, just a shed load of side missions to do now. I had the support of a commando with a fully loaded turret, I think it would have been very difficult without that to help.

Glad to see plenty of other people appreciating the awesomeness of the turret! I too have spent most of my skill points making my turret better. I'm level 23 at the moment. Feel free to add me on steam (same username) if anyone fancies a game at some point. Maybe we could have a commandos only 4-way and unleash the hilarity of 4 turrets!
