I think I'd be pretty annoyed if someone joined my game and dumped a load of duped legendaries on the floor. The thrill is in the chase for me and seeing someone just drop a load (oo er) would probably stop me from playing the game

You do a few missions in this plotline, going back and forward between the Hodunks and The Zafords.

MINOR SPOILERS NOT RELATING TO MAIN PLOT:

Blow up the Hodunk's big tyre
Blow up the Zaford's booze
Blow up the Hodunk's race cars
Kill Zaford's son and raid the loot cave
Burn the Hodunks in their trailers
Kill the Zafords at the wake

Then you get the showdown. When you arrive at the train station (the one that takes you to Lynchwood) the Hodunks are on one platform and the Zafords are on the other. At this point, you will want to start blasting the Zafords with everything you've got. Once you've completed the mission, turn it in for your reward, then save and quit out and load back in. The Zafords, being the clan you turned on, will respawn at the train station, so you can go back and kill them again until Zaford drops a Maggie.'

ok after I killed zafords son and raided the loot cave, the quest juts disappeared form my list and shows as completed ? BUg maybe ?

Same here. The quest ended for me at that point.

Go back to the Hodunk trailer park.

IIRC, Terramorphous only gives out legendary class mods and nothing else?
He also drops the Hide of Terramorphous which is a shield, the Breath of Terramorphous, which is a grenade, the Teeth of Terramorphous which is a shotgun, and the Blood of Terramorphous which is a relic. He also drops some heads and skins which are unique to him I believe, but I'm not bothered about those. I believe the "...of Terramorphous" items are the only unique items in the game which cannot be dropped by the Warrior. Speaking of which, I killed him about 15 times again last night, and another 5 before work this morning and still not a single legendary item from him.

That's good, it was 2nd hand info that he only dropped mods, and that's all he dropped for us in about 10 tries. Will keep trying now as got fed up of only getting mods and thought that was it smile

The only thing I am stuck on now is the boss at the end of the DLC that makes Terramorphous look like a kitten in comparison frown

I've just started a second play through in true vault hunter mode.

Either I'm rubbish or my weapons aren't up to scratch. I'm finding it extremely difficult and not very enjoyable.

I think enemies are scaled to your level when you start a new area? So it's never going to get easier - unless I sort the guns out!

The lowly midge-mong is tearing me a new one!

What level is your character?

36 or 37 I think.

But the enemies scale so they're always one level above when I go to an area :/

Go back to the Hodunk trailer park.
Nope. The Hodunks have nothing for me when talked to, are indestructible, and so are their dwellings.

And Mick Zaford says it "isn't the right time to strike yet"

So neither side seems interested in continuing the clan war.

Found the rest...you have to find dave on dust ,he is by the portal next to the train station ...just follow for the exclamation marks on map...he gives you more of this mission.

That was good bit,bad bit is I killed whtshisname and he didn't drop that gun, tried to do it again but they wouldn't respawn.

It's now boring me,some of the missions are amusing ,but its rock paper scissors gameplay ,and endless going back over places you have been to 50 times makes it incredibly tedious now.

Oh yes. I did see an exclamation mark on the map now that I think about it. I'll check that out. Thanks!

Hyperius or Master Gee? Hyperius can be soloed with a Babymaker SMG (Tediore SMG that explodes like a MIRV on reload and has huge dmg from the grenade effect) and a strong shield with good recharge. If you are playing as the Soldier, respeccing to get the bulletproof shield around your turret is supposed to be a good tactic, as you can stand in the safe zone, fire a single bullet and throw the gun at him and his minions over and over for massive damage. Keep in mind that the more bullets in the gun before you reload, the bigger damage it deals, hence only firing a single bullet to enable the reload. If you want the Babymaker, Madam Von Bartlesby has it, at the top of the hill to the left of the fast travel at the entrace to Tundra Express.

For Master Gee, I have not seen a solid tactic yet, other than have a team of 4 top level players with plenty of ace equipment, grit your teeth and get ready for a fight. I don't have the DLC yet so I have not fought any of them, but I do have a Babymaker ready for when I do get it.

With regard to getting free legendary weapons, you don't have to pick them up if you don't want to. If you really want to experience the "thrill of the chase" of killing the same boss over and over, perhaps 30 times or more over the course of a couple of hours or maybe more depending on the location of the boss, then you are more than welcome. I've been lucky enough to get a few legendary drops first time, and I've farmed a few that didn't take too long to get, and I'd happily duplicate and share these with my friends if they wanted them. The "thrill of the chase" for me is not grinding bosses in a statistical lottery which is heavily stacked in favour of not giving you the goods.

Oh, I'm glad you side with the Hodunks *against* the Zafords. The Zafords seem the more PH of the two as they like racing cars. driving

The Hodunks are the racing hill billies, the Zafords are the drunken Irish thugs.

I'm level 30 now, and the loot seems well below my level now. Farming it gives weapons that aren't even worth picking up. Oh well. smile

I blew about $40,000 on the slot machines last night and got a few guns that should be worth keeping, plus several bars of Eridium. Plus miscellaneous other loot which got sold. Not really a valid transaction but hey-ho (or should I say "Heyooo!")

The 3-shot burst fire when zoomed sends out the 3 shots in around a second.
5672 damage per critical hit on the target at the range at Santurary. And each of the 3 shots consistently giving criticals.

JonRB, if you are around level 30 you should be able to travel to Lynchwood (from the Train station in the Dust where the Zaford / Hodunk shootout takes place) and do some quests to help a small, docile Skag called Dukino. Once you have done these, you progress the main story a bit then get a mission to go back to Lynchwood for a quest called "Demon Hunter", after you have completed the quest you turn it in with Dukino and you get a gun called the "Chikamin Buffalo", which deals 2500+ damage a shot, has a 7 round magazine and does something like 65% additional critical damage. I think when I got it, it would land criticals for 25,000+.

On the downside, it doesn't have a scope, so you need to be a good shot, but it's particularly brutal at taking down slow moving Hyperion loaders, and shooting the red eye critical point on Constructors, and it will remain useful until at least early into your True Vault Hunter playthrough. It might be slow firing, but it will make your current sniper rifle look like a toy, it's a brilliant gun to have for the end of your first play through.

Oh yes. I discovered Lynchwood whilst looking for The Bane and started the Dukino quest. I keep meaning to go back and finish it. Sounds like I should.

Right now on the main questline I am poised to meet Claptrap and "Finish It". But I have been delaying that and mopping up a few side quests.

only got to lvl 10 with a ninjary bloke, then got the mecromancer dlc so as I was early on rerolled with that.

and I am dreading the 'assasins' quest, where you have to take out 4 or 5 assassins in a row.

i died so many times on the ninja playthro that I dont even think the deathtrap will be much help, even though it acts like a tank, i will still die loads.

but one thing is good, you can get a perk that regens health with a full clip. so between fights i can wait and fight with full health.
